A couple of interesting tidbits have been reported about the pets that hatch from The Oracles' [Mysterious Egg]. All of the flying pets apparently have a special ability. They can fly high up in the air beside your flying mount. These pets include the Proto-Drake Whelp, Tickbird Hatchling, and White Tickbird Hatchling. They are still babies, however, so they are not able to keep up if you go full speed on an epic flyer. Druids in flight form can summon these pets while flying.

Also of note, all pets from The Oracles' eggs do not bind on pickup. They can be traded and auctioned. Special thanks to Ninjabolt for providing much of the information for this article.

According to MMO-Champion, there are some important pet-related changes expected for Patch 3.0.8. The good news is that there will be a new 100-pet achievement called Lil’ Game Hunter. The reward, [Little Fawn’s Salt Lick], will presumably allow you to summon a little deer pet! I hope this means that Blizzard plans to add more new pets to the game, because, as it stands now, collecting 100 pets is more like a feat of strength than an achievement!

Okay, now for the bad news. Apparently, the Gifts and Pledges of Adoration from the Love Is In The Air event will become soulbound. Unless they change Peddlefeet to bind-on-use, there will be no more farming him on alts to try to attain this vanity pet. Perhaps Blizzard will increase the drop rate to compensate for this change. We can only hope!
