Living Sandling and Ji-Kun hatchling

So, I realize no one has any live experience with Ji-Kun LFR yet But, I'm trying to figure out exactly how these pets drops. I notice on the profile for the Sandling that, in LFR, it is dropping off the Counsel boss fight, not the trash as in reg. If it is going to drop, will it drop only right off the boss, or is it possible to get it with a roll? Those who have gotten if off the boss, is it shown as an item received, or does it appear in the bag of gold?

I'm assuming Ji-Kun will work similarly in LFR (oh, and Dark Animus, forgot about that one!)?

I'm basically wondering if it's worth using a roll at another shot for the pet.

From what I've read, the pet drops as a bonus item in LFR. A person on Wowhead mentioned receiving the "failbag", an option to roll using a charm (didn't specify if they used it or not), as well as the Living Sandling (from Council).

I'm not sure if using a charm will increase your chances, but I guess only way to find out is to try it out? Or get a response from a developer/blue.

Ok, I've run the LFR a lot. I'm out of charms. Is it worth running now? Can I still get a Sandling, or do I need to wait for a reset?

Also, does the Sandling drop from trash in LFR?

I think it's still worth running if you're looking for the pet. I inquired on Twitter and while Mumper's response wasn't very clear, he says you can keep running it (for the pet?).

I tentatively say this because at the time of the tweet, I was under the impression that it came from trash in LFR. So his response could have been to "duh, you can keep running LFR for trash" or "yes, you can do LFR multiple times a week for a chance at the pet."

I haven't heard of any reports of the Sandling dropping from trash in LFR yet.

I got the Living Sandling from LFR - I didn't win a thing on Jorianjai. I assumed I got it from trash as it was in my bag. I didn't get a fail bag on that boss. I also didn't try and loot the boss itself, and I did use coin to roll but got gold.

One guy on WoWhead said he got his off the Council in LFR and it popped in his bag separate from the satchel... so I'll hold out hope Resets tomorrow anyway. Does the new LFR open up tomorrow or next week? Could get 2 pets?!?!

Yup new wing of LFR opens tomorrow, so it's possible to get both Ji-Kun and Living Sandling this week. I'm crossing my fingers!

I got lucky on Saturday with my rogue and got into an LFR that was on the Council. I got the Living Sandling in my regular loot and then won the trinket on my bonus roll.

Let's hope I have as good luck with the other two.

In LFR, do the pets have a chance to drop after your first time through with no bonus rolls? Has anyone got one of the new pets in this manner? Heard someone say he didn't get it in his satchel, it was just separate. But what if you're not getting a satchel? Can we "farm" for these pets.

I'm fine with that. I just don't want to waste my time in LFR if I have no chance at the pet, because now that I'm out of coins, I get no loot either (Though I have got some nice upgrades. So, I'm trying to psych myself up that way... hehe). Any confirmation would be helpful.

I'd also like some confirmation on this. Has anyone obtained the Living Sandling or Ji-kun Hatchling on their second, third, etc. run through LFR (on the same toon, in the same week)?

I've been doing the first and second wing at least once per day on my druid (yay healer queues), but I'm wondering if it's in vain. Mumper did mention yes you can do it just for the pet, but some confirmation from someone who's had firsthand experience would definitely make me feel more at ease.

I received the Ji-Kun hatching - it appeared as a loot pop up as well as the failbag and the option to bonus roll.

I still don't know if you can receive the pets with the bonus roll system and would love to know if anyone has as I'd rather not waste the tokens, especially on alts that I hate doing dailies on!

I'm giving this a bump. Has anyone got either pet in LFR on subsequent trips. So no bag, no bonus roll, just the pet pops in your bag? I keep going... no pets yet.

Still no luck with bonus rolls or failbags. But I got another Ji-Kun hatchling on the same toon as last week as an extra loot - I got a staff and option for bonus roll as well.

I've done both a few times now and no luck. That's with both failbags and bonus rolls. Which, tbh, is pretty typical for me

Still no update on whether or not these pets can be obtained on extra runs on the same toon during the same raid lock out? I wonder if I'm wasting my time each week. >_<

Still no luck on pet drops for me in ToT. I did find a Son of Animus on the AH for 32g buyout. Couldn't pass that up.

Not the 2 pets in the subject line but I got Son of Animus as regular loot. It dropped in my bag after the boss kill.

I got the Ji-Kun Hatchling in LFR this past week. It appeared in a loot popup window. I got a 'failbag' from the boss as well, which only contained gold. The Ji-Kun Hatchling went to my bags, just like normal loot would.

I got both a Living Sandling and a Ji-kun as loot. It didn't come in the fail bag b ut as loot. Each time I got it there was no fail bag.

A friend said they got it on a coin roll again a loot window popped up.
