cheetah cub-mop

Does anyone know the locations of the cheetah cub in MOP? I know its the Northern Barrens but I've been there several times and have only found one in the whole area (of course, I accidently killed it when I did battle). I was hoping he would be all over like the snow cub. Are they there and the area is just zerged?

The ones I've most frequently seen were in the northern half of the zone, usually hanging out under trees with cheetah mobs.
