quick question about the price of this pet. guildie is looking at possibly not doing pet battles how much gold is it worth on average on ah's out there? also what pets aka raiding with leashes, toc pets, etc is it worth?

Prices vary widely by server and even by the day of the week. I have seen it at just under 5k all the way to 30k. Average seems to be a little over 10k. On low pop servers it can go even higher.

Current Raiding with Leashes pets aren't worth much, maybe a few hundred to 1k max. Argent Tourn. pets are still a few thousand I think, but I don't check the prices on either of those regularly.

Peanutty is correct, prices vary drastically, like him/her I have seen the average on the ji-kun be about 10k. Raiding with leashes varies more in my experience though - I've seen them from a couple hundred gold (for the MC pets) to as high as 6-7k for pets like Anubisath Idol - they're still rather all over the place. Kind of depends on the amount of a pain in the hiney they are to farm solo lol.

A good idea might be for them to check the trading forums here to find the pets they're after, there's often people with spares that are willing to trade with other people for something different. And although people can value each pet differently, they're generally similar and often willing to work something out, I know of a few people that'll go hunting for a pet you're after if the trade is acceptable to them . I know on my server the raiding with leashes pets go from about 500 for the MC ones all the way up to about 6k for the AQ pets; as for the ToT pets i havent seen any up yet and the one sandling i saw was at 15k which is way overkill now; most servers seem to price those about 10-15k for the hatchling and animus, a little less for sandling because it has been availiable longer. Tourney pets go for about 2-5k, depending on if you're selling a pet from alliance on horde and vice versa or not.

I'm on a low population server and an avid pet collector and as such I've been monitoring the AH (Horde) on Saurfang EU for a few months.

I've yet to see a Ji-Kun Hatchling but my server has little to no Horde raiding guilds. Those that do are only very casual so it's unlikely they've got there far yet.

Raiding With Leashes pets are reasonabley cheap. MC ones are 500gish usually, as are Naxx. The Twin Emps and Viscidous pets usually get 1.5k, the Prophet again only 500g. The BWL ones are the most rare, and these are the 3 I still need as I really cba to mess around with the eggs.

The TOC pets are on for 4-5k, but sometimes you get one on for just over 1k. I got my Teldrassil Sprouting this way which is odd for Horde. I also got a Durotar Scorpion for just over 1k on the BMAH, which saves me grinding.

As for the TCG ones, I don't think i've ever seen one. The server really is that dead.

Here's a strategy for all you collectors on low pop servers: Make an alt on a high pop server and park it at the AH. Grind every week on your low pop server and sell them on the high pop server, you wont sell them for as much but your gold will go farther when the raid pets start to show up. I was on a very low pop server and this worked well for me. Just be patient and keep accumulating gold you your high pop server toon and watch for deals.
