Imperial silkworm and moth

Hi,

I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this question : do these 2 pets have a chance to be of rare quality when learned? I've had doubts since all they ever seem to be is uncommon (green), and never grey of white. Not to mention that the moth appears blue on the armory, adding to my confusion ...

They're always uncommon when learned. Any rare ones you see were converted via flawless stones. The armory displays the rarity of the item that teaches the pet, not the pet itself. Hyacinth Macaw, for instance, displays as epic in the armory.

Ah shoot .. I could've sworn I once saw someone say in trade chat that he got a rare moth. Thanks anyway, and now I feel dumb that I didn't connect the dots about how the armory is working.
