Magical Crawdad counters?

I need some help finding counters to this horrible pet and teams who use it. By my calculations if you fight him 1v1 and your opponent doesnt switch pets you have to do 188,7 damage per round to break even and arround 300 damage per round if he uses renewing mists. This means that even if you use a flying pet he should kill your pet before you kill him.

A tactic magical crawdad users love to use is switching out the crawdad to heal their other pets. That can easily be countered by "root" attacks that wont let the crawdad switch in/out. However most of the pets that have access to root attacks are usually pretty bad.

I need your help to find good pets that can take out the crawdad but also prevent it from switching in/out.

Gilnean Raven might be an idea - it's a flyer (so it's strong against water types), and the ability "Nevermore" would put the damper on the Crawdad's Wish ability. (it should be faster in combat)
Also, its second tier abilities are anti-healing, as to reduce the amount healed.

Wish is already a 5 turn cooldown ability, so Nevermore would be wasted on it, unfortunately. Though, Call Darkness and/or Darkflame would be decent counters for the healing done.

Most any moth should be able to do well over 300 damage per round to an aquatic pet. I would assume other flying pets would have a similar damage output. Combine it with a pet that has Call Darkness (or is also flying like the raven), and it should be pretty easy to kill.

Brilliant kaliri with quills and predatory strike. Crawdad is a high HP pet, predatory strike will kill it at ~900 hp (assuming you don't miss or dodge).

Fluxfire Feline will take him down in 3 rounds

Otherwise, I'd go with a bat or any flying with Reckless Strike to deal him about 500-600 per round

Fluxfire Feline will be a much better addition to any PVP team that any flyer I know though
