Slash and Smash: Holiday Pet Battle Competition JFF

Slash and Smash 2012 out and 2013 in with a Just For Fun Pet Battle Competition.

When: Sunday, December 30th at 2pm Server Time (*Here's hoping some of our Oceanic friends can join us for this time*)

Where: The field west of Thunder Bluff where all the rabbits and squirrels run around with axes in their mouths.**

What: Competition of elimination. Last one standing is the winner. There can be only one!***

COME ONE, COME ALL, BRING A PET AND HAVE A BALL!

** Doobjanka will be around to help provide friendly portals. Two seater flying mounts will be useful to ferry back and forth to the stable master if needed between rounds.

Based on turn out and interest, we can look into an evening event at some point.

To Enter: Indicate in this thread that you would like to participate and include the names of your pets ( don't tip your competitors off by saying which type of pet they are).

Bring three (3) LEVEL FOUR racial vendor pets to the competition.

These pets include
Black Kingsnake
Blue Moth
Bombay Cat
Brown Prairie Dog
Brown Snake
Cornish Rex Cat
Golden Dragonhawk Hatchling
Great Horned Owl
Hawk Owl
Orange Tabby Cat
Red Dragonhawk Hatchling
Silver Dragonhawk Hatchling
Silver Tabby Cat
Snowshoe Rabbit
Undercity Cockroach
White Moth
Yellow Moth

The Competition:
1. All pets will be placed into a trade window for verification of correct type and level.
2. Competitors will be matched randomly for round one.
3. Winners of round one will be randomly for round two, continuing until one winner remains.
4. In the case of an odd number of competitors in a round, all winners will /roll, lowest /roll will compete with the odd person out for the chance to progress.

The Rewards:
First Place: The Ultimate Slasher and Smasher will be given
100g and a choice of Eye of the Legion or Sand Scarab

Second Place: 75g Disgusting Oozeling (Thanks to Tiz)

Third Place: 50g Imperial Silkworm (Thanks Akay)

Disputs:
While we hope these do not happen in a friendly competition they may. Since we do not have observer abilities for pet battles it is every participants responsibility to screenshot everything. You can mouse over the competitions pets to see which ones they are actually fighting with and that they are indeed Level 4.

**If anyone has done a similar type competition before and sees any error I have made in planning, please feel free to point it out to me.
****If anyone has anything to add to the prizes to sweeten the rewards, just let me know.

I'll join in-Taelene on Madoran bringing Flit, Ick, and Krick. Also, I found a neat addon on Curse that may help. It is Pet Battle Reporter. It puts a button at the picture of your main pet in the Pet Battle UI that toggles the reporter on and off. It then reports to Say, Party, or Raid channels what happens each turn in the battle. I like it so far, but my only complaint is you have to scroll up to read everything that happens.

Doc demonstrated Pet Battle Reporter for me and it is a pretty good way to "observe" a pet battle.

Anyone who isn't against addons, feel free to use this in the competition.
