RoS CE question
Diablo 3 RoS Collector's Edition is reasonably priced on amazon atm and I'm tempted to buy it for the pet but I had a quick question. I know it's an expansion pack and the base game is probably required to -play- it but is it required that I own the base game to redeem whatever code they give you for the pet? Sorry if this has been asked before- I did a cursory search and didn't see anything about it.

To answer this: probably, yes.
I tried to get SC2: Heart of the Swarm for the Baneling, but you need to buy the original before you can purchase the expansion. Bit sucky, cos it meant the pet was the better part of £45, rather than just £30 atm

Yes you need D3, but it doesn't have to be a real copy. I had the digital version on my bnet account from a pre-order bonus or something (forget now) and I upgraded it to RoS digital deluxe with no problems.
