Hi, I tried to update my pet list yesterday and today, and I both times I got the following error:

ALERT: Unknown Battle. net error. We've logged this error and will be looking into it — please check back soon.

Is anyone else getting this error, or is it just me?

I just tried right now, and it worked fine for me. Sorry, hope you get it solved.

Mines still not working, been like this for 6 or so hours.

I'm not able to update my pet list, and I've also been unable to view any of my characters on the WoW website all day. I expect those are related.

I'd assume so as well, but I can view my characters on WoW, but I can't update anything here. Weird.

I can view my characters on the armory, and I've also had this error message for the past two days.

I as well have had the issue last 2 days.

I've been getting the same error for about 24 hours, since I added Fiendish Imp and Lesser Voidcaller.

I am still getting this error for the past 2 days now.

Same error here off and on for the past couple of days.

[profile]Weena[/profile] has looked into this error, and it's something that we cannot fix unfortunately. The error is on Blizzard's end, and until they address the issue with the API, it will continue to affect some users.

We'll contact Blizzard to inform them of this error (if they aren't aware of it already), and hopefully they'll sort it out soon. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I've had this error since Tuesday the 10th of December, I can't even manually update. Is there a way to let me do that? It seems that WoWPets checks with Blizzard, even on a manual update.

Solution - change the server you are on if you have another character (my guess is a single word server name would be the best option) or create one (you will have to level it to 10+ so it shows up in the Armory). I have multiple characters on Moon Guard and using any of those gave me the error you posted. I changed and used my character on Emerald Dream and Success! I hope this helps and about Quintessence's post above, I think you can fix this if it's a server name translation issue in your request.

Changing realms worked for me. Hydraxis does not work. However, Ravencrest does work. I don't think the problem lies in whether it is a single word or not. I'm still getting this error when attempting to update when using Hydraxis.

Ravencrest now does NOT work. I now get a "character not found" error, even after checking the Armory profile and using 'edit'.

My character on Moon Guard is getting the error, when I switch to my character on Turalyon (what a combo eh?) it says I only have 48 pets not 240+

My Hydraxis character now works. However, my Ravencrest character is still not recognized.

Telsek on Crushridge does not work. I get an error (like others) saying my character can not be found. Crushridge was the subject of a multiple server "connection" today and I wonder if that has something to do with this problem. I can not see Telsek on the armory at the moment. Her name comes up when I search, but no portrait and no movement on clicking on her name. I'm going to try pointing to an alt I have on another server.

I switched characters on the same server/faction and it worked.
