Pet journal bugged?

As I went to go grab some new pets, my traps said that I already had 3 of this pet and couldn't trap any more.
Yet, my journal clearly shows that I dont have any.
I logged completely out and back in as well as reloaded my ui and still the same thing.
Anyone had similar issues?

Do have your capture limit of 500 pets that may be the issue.

Hmmm.. hadn't thought of that.. was really only paying attention to the number of unique pets I have, not the amount I have in total..

I did the exact same thing! i was furious cause it was a rare i was trying to catch...only to realize I was at my500 limit so it was really my own fault for not paying attention so i went and deleted all my extra's (sad face)

Yeah the 500 limit is to prevent their servers from becoming overwhelmed with insane pet collecting I assume.
Like wanting 3 copies of every pet in the game basically.
