Pet Score Question.

Post by Arrowstar » July 9th, 2015, 8:52 am

I know that all NCP's (Non-Combat Pets) are considered blue now, but what level are they? 0,1? other?

The reason I ask is I have a spread sheet that I use to sort my pets and added in the Pet Score formula. Problem is I show 6 points less than the web site does and I suspect the issue is with the NCP's.

As of now I show a Unique NCP has a value of 5.04. (+2 for unique, +3 for Rare and +.04 for level 1).

Note: If they are calculated as level 1's then my problem is elsewhere.

You have 15 "non level pets" that come at 5 points apiece (0 points for level since they have none according to the bnet api...even if you levelled them up via stones in game before they hotfixed it).

75 points.

711-15 = 696 pets that can generate level based points.

At an average level of 21.8 (its rounded to one decimal place on the display so you may have more or less) you get:

( 696 pets * 21.8 avg level ) * 0.04 points per level * 25 levels = 606.912 points from levels

696 * 5 = 3480 points from rarity

3480
606.912
+75
---------
4,161.912

about 4162 points when rounded. That's within one point of what WCP says you have, but if you work backwards you will find out that you really have average level or 21.839 (which rounds down for display) and gives you the 4163 points WCP says you have.

Yes, noncombat pets are always considered level 1 for the purposes of scoring.

Not even I am that OCD about my pet family, seems silly to blow leveling stones on non-combat pets to whom it gives no advantage whatsoever. Glad the site's scoring system accepts that.

If this is the case, some scores might be off by 1 point (assuming rounding). I don't mind either way, but you may want to just do a quick double check for consistency. My score is counting them as 0 points for the non combat:

696 level 25 pets @ 6 points apiece = 4176 points
16 non combat
If 5 points (assumes 0 points for level) => 80 points
If 5.04 points (Assumes 0.04 points for level 1) => 80.64

If they are counting as level 1 and 0.04 points per level, then my score would be 1 higher than it is (again assuming rounding).

Not a huge deal either way.
