if you level more pets you will pass them and they will not have a chance at your score.
simple solution level more and if you don't want to level more than you don't care to raise your score that simple.

You may have more 25s, however they apparently have more sub 25 higher level pets (ie. 18-24) than you do and therefore more levels overall - as reflected by their average pet level. Keep leveling your stable and that will change.
