I was making these for personal use and thought I might share them here since (to my knowledge) nobody has posted visual maps of the pet levels. Most of the information on these maps came from this forum (thanks to everyone who posted that information!).

I'm fairly sure there aren't any pets in any of the Vashj'ir zones. The level listed for Gilneas is for the Ruins of Gilneas, not to be confused with the starting area for Worgen which is only accessible if you're a low level Worgen. Goblin, Worgen, and Pandaren starting areas have no pet trainers and no wild battle pets to catch- you'll have to leave their starting areas before you can starting battling/catching pets with them.

If you'd like to see a larger version of the maps, just click on them (there's a link below each map for anyone who has images turned off). If you'd like to see a text-only version, hop on over to this list (Made by Shadev).

I'm sure I'll be correcting these and adding more to them as time goes on, so remember check back again sometime if the information you're looking for isn't on the map yet!

EDIT 10/14/12: My apologies for taking so darn long to update these. Just got back from a six day trip into the wilderness where no technology could follow, lol. Everything should be accurate now but if it isn't, leave me a comment and I'll update the maps.

These are great! A few of the zone lvls need to be updated, as the information on our forums is probably outdated.

One thing though. I've never seen a level 18 pet in Hellfire Penninsula, and I seem to recall Zangarmarsh having a few level 18 pets.

I've made a color coded list from you maps to help me find areas at a glance, hopefully it is right. I'd post it here but I cannot seem to understand how to color the HTML of a post-or if it is an option.

I have posted it on the petopia forums, where I can keep it color coded, with a link back at the top to your lovely maps.

Thank you for making these maps, they are going to be a great help! (and making a color-coded list out of them gave me something to do while I sit in the hospital, oy!)

I've been using the maps for a few days now and love them! Particularly how they mark in blue the unique pets in that zone.

I've been busy for a while, kind of forgot these were here. Blizzard has since implemented a very similar way of tracking wild pet levels by zone on their in-game maps so these are obsolete. However, they're still excellent for when you're not logged in or when you need a visual guide so I'm going to leave them up rather than junk them. I haven't been able to check these against the in-game maps though, so if you find that something doesn't match leave me a comment.

its an old thread, it shows the level of the battle pets when you mouse over a zone on the map in game now. (unless that is one of my addons lol)
