Varzok in Org won't give me the tamer quests for Kalimdor anymore. I've definitely done it since 5.2 but perhaps only once. Is this intended? (it was always odd that it wasn't a blue '?').

Shame as I used it to levels lower pets quite nicely without any trouble.

This was never intended. They fixed it with the patch.

here something that might interest u all. was doin my daily routine taking out spirit tamers n reg tamers while killing elite pets for the dailies and my BoF daily auto abandon when i got to townlong tamer. now i have to start over

I think I've spotted one...

Ti'un the wanderer Vs. a flyer with Alpha strike

Alpha Strike hits for 243 +162 if faster. Flying Vs. Aquatic is strong, usually hitting for around 650-700 non-crit.

It hits as hard as expected, until he uses his turtle shield ability, reducing hits by "up to 120ish" according to the tooltip.

As soon as he does that, Alpha Strike hits for around 240 damage a reduction of major proportions!

Seems like his shield is either super tough, or it's applying base damage against flying mobs, which should have a damage bonus?

If you look at the combat log, you'll see that Alpha Strike is broken up into 2 hits, even though the floating combat text shows one consolidated number: the initial hit of X damage, and the 2ndary hit of X/2 damage that you get for attacking first. Shields subtract from both hits, so they're doubly effective against Alpha Strike. Also, subtraction for the shield is done before multiplication for the Flyer bonus vs Aquatic, which also comes out in favor of the shield user.

Can anyone else comment on this. I've been doing all the tamer dailies that award bags each day since 5.2 went live and every day the tamers have used the same pets as their first-line pet. I used to have to forfeit at least a few times against certain tamers to get their first pet to be ideal for my first pet. I don't think I've had to do that once since 5.2 came out.

Seems Call Darkness doesnt blind pets as intended and abilities that "always hit when blinded" are not working properly when darkness is called.

You weren't by chance fighting against an Elemental type were you? They are immune to the weather, thus wouldn't be blinded nor give you the better hit chance :\

Don't know if it was mentioned, but sometimes my decoy stays out a while waving at me... it's charges are gone... but it doesn't want to miss the show I guess

Sadly I can't show much in the way of combat logs as the world server dropped as soon as it happened. (It wasn't me, I swear!) I was just leveling my Voodoo Figurinein Mt. Hyjal versus a Fire-Proof Roach when something odd occurred.

Round 1
- Voodoo Figurine uses Shadow Slash
- Fire-Proof Roach uses Flank

Round 2
- Voodoo Figurine uses Dark Simulacrum
- Fire-Proof Roach uses Apocalypse

On the 3rd round I used Dark Simulacrum again but instead of just using Apocalypse as predicted it used Flank as well.

Couldn't say if this was intended or not. Anyone else experienced this?
