Silly question, but how do you actually open the Pet Journal? Can't find the answer anywhere.

open up your menu (esc key).
go to "key bindings".
scroll down to "Interface panel functions".
go to the bottom of that and assign a key bind for "toggle companion journal".

The Pet Journal has been updated with this beta patch. Pets have "stats" now, and many fo the buttons seem to look better...For instance, instead of "SUMMON_PET" it just says "summon" now. However, many of the buttons do not work still, like Find Battle, Summon Random Pet, Info, etc.

It should also be noted the crosshairs on wild pets is gone now. Tested it with the Scorpling. Couldn't attack it, either.

A few pets have stats, the wild battle pet icon for tracking has changed and the icons for various family types have changed.

The more I think about it, the more I find the idea of account wide pets liberating. I got the Giant Sewer rat last night with my fishing specialist, it's nice not having to do it with my pet collector, as well. I recently got the Magical Crawdad with my fisher, as well. I've been putting off doing the new Darkshore quests because they sound depressing (I didn't even like the old Darkshore, lol), but I got Withers with my Horde collector on another server, so hopefully I'm all set. I picked up the last 3 Childrens Week pets, making the fact I missed last years event irrelevant. I'm having fun collecting a lot of pets again.
