I find it a bit unnerving that mobs will still run up to the critters tagged as Wild Battle Pets and kill them.

Imagine seeing a critter, getting excited about battling it, whipping out your companion and getting all set up to duke it out........ and then a raptor swiftly runs over and noms the wild critter to death. x_x

I don't know. Critter respawn rates aren't too bad. Unless Blizz starts adjusting that on the wild pets because of them being capturable.

I'm not too worried about respawning and the like (so far). I just find it a bit unnerving (and hilarious at the same time) that a mob can come over and "steal" your wild pet. XD

Feel free to add any I've missed. I'm just doing cursory fly throughs and some seem to spawn in specific places. Tiny Harvester is only on farms in Westfall, and I discovered that on accident.

I noticed many of the pets are things we already have. Things like toads and rats. I'm hoping there will be a lot more unique pets. I'd like to see more demons and such. It would certainly be doable in places like Felwood, when those Wild Pets are implemented.

Tbh, i like having a lot of pets that arent really unique looking, the more plain pets we have, the more the rest can also stand out. (not saying 99% should be normal mammals/reptiles :P)

Aww, are the lil thorny lizards that run around Uldum not? I was hoping that I'd finally get myself a real lizard pet.

Yay! The ones I'm really excited about are the beetles (of course), lizards, bog beasts, and mini-rams.

The shadelings...can anyone post a pic? Do they look like the Scourge Haunts from the Haunted Mementos?

I scoured all of Deadwind Pass and didn't find any critters at all. Any tips on where to look?

Okay, Eastern Kingdoms seems to be the only continent with any wild pet love. I covered most of Kalimdor and didn't find a single flagged pet, and there is nothing in Outland or Northrend yet. Got most pets listed that I came across, with the only elusive one being Restless Shadeling someone reported in Deadwind Pass.

Maybe the shadelings are only at night? Blizz talked about time-dependent spawns.

Hmm, I wonder if a sprite darter critter will spawn in the faerie ring event?

Here's what I found during my tour of EK last night:

Restless Shadelings -- Deadwind Pass -- they're in the caverns under the village outside Karazhan, and they do indeed use the wraith model :) They might be time-dependent, as it was late at night when I was over there.

Fledgeling Vultures -- Redridge Mountains -- north of Lakeshire, they are, as expected, tiny vultures

Undead Eagles -- Western Plaguelands -- in Andorhal, but you can only see them if you're in the correct phase. My hunter hasn't done that quest chain, and the eagles disappeared the moment I tried to fly in to see one.
