There's a Sapphire Cub on the AH, battle pet section. But the name is gray, like vendor trash. Why?

I just caged mine and it appears it's of poor quality. Kind of surprising, considering the mats it takes to make it. I would have thought it would be at least uncommon.

I guess the text means it will usually be gray. Kind of sad really, couldn't it at least be white text? I feel so bad for the little guy!

I logged into the WarcraftPets horde guild and talked to everyone there a few days ago including Doob, the community feels as if this may just be a bug. I suggest bringing up a thread with Blizzard, nobody has thus far found anything above poor quality that I've found.

Crafted pets do not boast a variable Rarity. If one Sapphire Cub is Uncommon quality, all Sapphire Cubs will be Uncommon quality

A thought just occurred to me: It is now possible to critically craft items in the game's crafting system. Do you think it's possible to crit-craft a Sapphire Cub? Such a pet might boast an increased rarity.

Just a thought.

The Sapphire cubs all seem to be blue now, yah!

One totally amazing person just gave me a sapphire cub, but it is gray. I don't mind so much. It's an amazing gift, but I wanted to find out if other sapphire cubs would be gray. So I bought one on the AH and when I learned it, it was white. So it looks like it could possibly be random what rarity pet you actually learn from the sapphire cub item?

I have a white quality one in my posession... Hmmm...

If you have one that isn't blue, I'd go ahead and put in a ticket just to see what they say. It seems like they should all be blue, but I've never seen an official response.
