Rare Quality Pets & Random Stats

Is there somewhere I can obtain a list or chart that would tell me what the MAX stats "could" be for any rare pets I come across? Anyone familiar with IVs and Pokemon know where this question is going.

I mean, is there a MAXIMUM on any stats, based on level?

I understand the stats are random, but what range is involved :?:
Take level 1 for example.
The range of numbers on the stats seem to run from 7ish-12,13.
Can the range for level 1 go to 14? 15?

I don't just want a rare level 1 with 156 hps, 12/12 in stats. (although nice ;) )
I want the MAX in all stats. (Yes, I know this is a tad crazy/elitist  )

Sorry if this sounds confusing, I'm probably not explaining this properly.

Thanks for your time,
Mathew

You're thinking about stat pools incorrectly. It functions in a much more simplistic manner than IVs in Pokemon.

Each pet has a stat pool. The size of this pool is based on two characteristics: Pet level and pet rarity. All pets that share the same level and rarity share the same stat pool.

Its from this pool that a pet's abilities are derived. The stat pool may be allocatted differently among different pets: You may encounter pets that favor speed over health, or variants of that same type of pet with a more even distribution of thier stat pool, that favor no one stat above the other. But as long as the pets share the same level and rarity, there is no difference in the size of the pool their abilities are derived from. From the perspective you are considering, no pet is better than any other pet of the same rarity and level.

I've collected many of the same rare to compare the stats. I am at work and do not have the numbers in front of me but I had 4 different stats for one type of pet before. It looked similar to this:

HP: 150
STR:13
SPD:10

HP:150
STR:14
SPD:10

HP:143
STR:11
SPD:13

HP:173
STR:10
SPD:11

I think it was a critter type, I am not exact but I was very supprised when I saw that one where it was a copy of the STR favor, but with one more. I would much like to know how the stats work myself :)

There's nothing to wonder about in this case. The pet with an increased Strength has a decreased speed. It's just that at the level you viewed them, the fractional boost to Strength was enough to boost the score, while the fractional decrease to Speed was not enough to drop that score. If you train all four pets to level cap, things should even out.

Thanks for the replies. But just to clarify:
I've caught rares of the same type, level and rarity.
Catch # 1 - Had a huge HP score, but it's Attack and Speed were kind of average.
Catch # 2 - Had lower HP, but had amazing Attack and Speed.
Edit: (Exactly like Betic's #3 & 4 examples!)

Are you saying I'll never find one with BOTH fantastic HPs -AND- Attack/Speed?

Here's how I'm invisioning your pool concept (please correct me where I'm wrong)
(numbers are arbirtary, for example only)
Level 1 - 180 points (pool)
The game generates X HPs. (say 150)
The game generates X attack (16)
The game generates X speed (14)
Total = 180

Level 2 - 200 points
Level 3 - 220 points
etc.

Is this close, or am I waaaaay off base?

Thanks again,
Mathew

ok so if Im following you correctly, you're saying one has a score of: STR 13.9 SPD 10.1 while the other may have STR 13.5 SPD 10.5

so it's rounding the 2 .5's down but rounding the .9 up?

That is correct. To have an increased score in one area, a pet loses points in one or both of its other stats.

That's the basic idea, yes. As you say, this is simplified, and it is not a direct one-to-one relationship between health and the other two stats. But it illustrates the concept. As I said, it's not even close to the complexity and depth of the Pokemon IV system.

It seems to be doing something like this, yes.

Okay, thank you so much for elaborating on this. I hate to admit it, it's a little disappointing :(
- but does not detract from the fun of the new mini-pet system. :D
