White flying bear battle pets in Vale?

Does anyone know why white bears replaced the models for the frogs and such in Vale of Eternal Blossoms? I noticed them yesterday and it wasn't my account/computer - I checked on the laptop and 2 computers on 2 accounts. Someone said something about a chance to get a rare pet while battling but none of them were able to battle, just critters.

I've seen this before. Sometimes it's the baby ape model and I've seen penguins too. It's just a graphics glitch as far as I know.

Could it perhaps be mages with the 'crittermorph' glyph causing some mischief? As far as I know, polymorph can come in penguin, baby ape and polar bear flavours.

That is exactly what it is, I have done something similar in Tanaris with the white bears and penguins in a desert theme

It also comes in pig so every once an awhile you get to see pigs fly in the vale. You have to love mages.

That glygh is one of the funniest around. I remember the first time I saw pigs flying in Valley4Winds..
That and the rogue glyph are lots of fun.

Well the thing is , I killed 3 , waited on respawn (they were frogs but looked like bears) and they respawned as bears again. (No mages around). I was just curious , seeing flying bears stops you in your tracks

I mage friend of mine spent some quality time changing all the moths in Valley of the Four Winds into cats . . . there were literally flocks of flying cats everywhere.
