Did anyone else do this quest a total of 4 times and get all 4 panda pets? or did i just have amazing luck?

Well, only three of them are random drops, but yes.

You're lucky.

I made the quest aproximately 9-times and got 3 pieces of pandas 2 different kinds (1x snowy, 2x sunfur) and 3 stones - beast, elemental, magic. 5-times loot - sometimes multiple - panda+stone, but 4-times I got nothing and it is VERY frustrating!

No worries...I'm extremely unlucky with every other aspect of pet collecting...i wasn't expecting this one to be luck.

Not really that lucky, no. The bags from this quest have very good drop rates for the pandas. Most people I know got all four pandas in 5-6 bags or so.

I've only done it 3-4 times (maaaaybe 5, can't remember), but I haven't gotten a panda yet. :(

So yes, luck is a part of it.

I got all 4 pandas with no dupes and 3 stones in the first 6 tries. I've done it twice since, and both times got a panda and a stone. So to me it seems a good drop rate, but that's probably just using all my luck up there so I can have 50,000 casts with no carp.

I've been holding this little tid bit for a while and now that i have dino fever had to share my CHEEEEEESE way to defeat ALL of these legendaries. It's all about quik damage and uber healing and nothing says that like the pet ability "Life Exchange" I believe this skill is limited to the Nether Faerie Dragon and the sprite darter(which i haven't lvled). I start with this pet and moon fire and takes some damage (remember the lower your health the bigger the averaging out of life is). Once at half life blamo 2k-2.9k damage. If up against a healing pet make sure to have some thing to get rid of the moon fire( such as darkness). Pending how much of a challenge I want to have depends on weather or not I kill of the Nether Faerie Dragon or put him back at full life for another cycle. Yes you can repeat this cheese wittling down these big SOBs till they are way under 1k....

ok with this shared back to my pet leveling and Dino love.

There's actually a slightly cheesier way :-)
Before doing what you do, use a Terrible Turnip and its Sunlight skill, then the Life Swap does even more damage and you only have to whittle them down to 1500 ish. Once reached, use a Snowy Owl and Predatory Strike to finish.

Usually dead before the sunlight wears off ...

I did this maybe 7 times. I got 4 of the Mountain Panda. I traded for the other 2 and have not gone back to do them since.

I've been doing them as much as I can in between my other dailies as they are one of my more reliable source of battle stones.

Heh...I forgot i posted this a while back... due to my crazy drop rate i decided this would be a decent moneymaker. I've done the quest probably 10 more times. One panda and zero stones, guess my luck ran out.

I did it 5 times to get all 4 pets.

Initial run to complete the quest, then daily version on day 1. Daily on day 2 and 3 (which was a suplicate panda that I never found a trade for, for some reason) and then Day 4 I got the last one.

I didn't bother going back and doing them because it was way too much time/effort for a single bag, plus I was doing the full round of tamer bag dailies each day for XP for my pets.
