Ouch, Beast's of Fable Reset...

So yha I have all 3 pandas from the daily and I told myself not to do it again...but I did not listen... so I get the daily, kill all 10 and otw back to turn in the quest there is a Galleon run...so I join, get the kill ...gold/gold ;(

The run went long, horde PvP interference, so I log off for dinner. when I come back, I stone to the shrine to turn in the quest, the NPC is there lit up with the golden question mark and I click....the gold ? turns into a blue !...no bag...

Whats worse then doing the panda bag daily? Doing the panda bag daily and not getting credit...note to self...do not do the panda bag daily again...maybe this time I will listen.

Ticket open... hey blizz someone owes me a bag !! :evil:

Anyone else get this?

I've been tossing this in my head to not do it again once I finish my pandas. I would be royally pissed if this happened to me. :(

i've found a nice trick for this one the nether faerie dragon can off the top cut them down to about 2.2k left with life exchange. predatory strike on another one can help aswell. least makes the fights go so much faster.

This just happened to me today. I was on my 10th battle. On my way to No-No, I realized the quest was missing from my logs. I am extremely frustrated and I do not think I want to do the 9 battles again. I opened a ticket and it says 5 days 8 hours wait time. Ugh.

I had a slightly different problem. I picked up the quest on my priest, did a couple battles, got credit, everything was going fine. Then I decided to log onto an alt and queue for lfr. Since the wait was 35 minutes I decided to fly around and finish my quest. I did a couple battles before realizing I wasn't getting credit. I looked in my quest log only to find out that I had no tamer quest at all, and no Kalimdor tamer quest either which I had picked up earlier. I logged back onto my priest, quest is there, still the same progress as before I logged onto my alt. So I log over again and lo and behold my alt now has all the missing quests and progress still the same as before and i was able to finish it this time. Seems this stuff is still quite a bit bugged out.

I have visited the Pet Battles forum at WoW website and this quest seems to bug out when the player currently doing the quest joins a group/LFD/LFR. The player most likely will not get credit on the next battle after dropping from the group. Relogging will fix the issue but you have to probably redo your last battle.

This tip deserves a big thank you from me. Maybe I'm slow but this never occurred to me before reading your comment. It does cut down the time in battle significantly for me. :)

I agree! This is a GREAT tip!


I agree completely - and to save even more time, I use two teams, one with the Nether Faerie Dragon and the Darkmoon Hatchling and then another one with the Sprite Darter Hatchling and the Harbinger of Flame - his Impale has the same effect as the Predatory Strike. WIth two teams you don't need to stop at pet stable masters or use up pet bandages.

Start off with a tanking pet, let it die - most of the so called Legendary beasts go down to at least 2K, next use the pet with the Life Exchange - do one or two round hits with slicing wind (also neat that there are quite a few aquatic beasts... ;-) ) until your own pet is down to 500-700, then use life exchange, keep bashing the beast until it kills you, by then the beast will be down enough to use the third pet ability - Impale or Predatory strike.

It does make it a bit easy, but it's easy to justify after having to kill 10 of those beasts...

Update, after 5+ days after I opened the ticket I got a GM response;

:( I investigated but was unable to verify that the quest was completed. I do
see that other players have reported similar issues with this quest. I have
submitted a bug report regarding this to our developers so they can look into
this issue further and correct the bug. I do apologize for this issue.

If you do encounter any bugs in the future, you would be helping us out greatly
by reporting them using the Submit Bug feature in game. This will send your
reports directly to our developers who can investigate and correct the issues.

Yha, unable to verify that the quest was completed...because it was not completed...it reset...

I was hoping that they would just give me the bag I missed out on that day...not gonna happen !! Moving on !!

Make sure you don't take the quest a second time or if you do, abandon it. Log out and log back in. If you took the new one, it may have screwed it up. It is a bit frustrating that for such a long quest, they have left it so buggy. I find myself flying back to redo beasts a few times the past few days.

They need to fix it & knock t down to 4 beasts to defeat.

I have not experienced that bug, but I have had situations where I partly completed the quest, then later in the day logged in and didn't get credit for beating additional bosses. "Log out, log in, defeat the boss" again "fixed" it, and I had only done a couple when I noticed (now I am more careful to look at the post-battle notifications).

Definitely annoying. (Probably about as annoying as doing the quest and getting only vendor trash - no stone or panda, which happened to me once so far...)

This is ridiculous. I had 7 out of 10 beasts of fable defeated, logged out. When I logged in I saw no quest in the log. I'll have to fight them again. :evil:
