fun with gender discovery

Post by Finkployd » February 11th, 2013, 11:13 am

I'm going through my pets at petsear.ch and found a couple of my pets had been named something fairly non typical of their gender :P

There were many more but I don't want to spam :P Has anyone else done this and realized the amount of derp?
Either way I've decided to leave their names they were originally given.

I havn't started naming mine yet. Still collecting. But yeah, I will certainly make sure to look at the gender before naming mine now.

PS. I'm gonna catch up to you soon for #1 Korgath! ;)

I confess - I generally check the gender before naming my pets.

I actually had to change the name of my Spawn of Onyxia.
I upgraded a female P/S to a male P/P. So the name changed from "Sabellia" to "Sabellian."

I don't worry about the coded genders when I name my pets. It's just a number.

I feel that way too. I had names for some of my pets long before they had gender or could be named.

Who says Joe and Sonic can't be girls :?: Several literary heroines are females with masculine names. One of my favs is Jo March in Little Women. I say keep naming what you want regardless of gender. Naming a crab Joe, regardless of gender, is pretty darn creative! ;)

I named my Cinder Kitten after a coworker who did a lot of charity work after the storm.

It's a male kitten named Stephanie.

I like joe for my crab as well ^^ Thank you.
True I suppose xD just had to laugh about it. Many of mine are pokemon names because I have issues and what not so their names were somewhat spared. I left all their names the same though and I don't look at their gender before naming them now so I still have funny little surprises from time to time. Having rotten luck with stones though its kind of disheartening ><

I just discovered that Heidi the Celestial Dragon and Toby the Emerald Proto-drake both need new names :o I think I'll just switch them.
