Without going through the starter quests?
All I want is a place to store extra pets that will be sold.

You are not forced to do starter quests, except for pandaren or DKs. Just run to the racial capital.

Don't make a goblin, worgen, pandaren, or DK and you won't have starter quests

Fastest way to get your new alt to a town with a bank is probably going Troll (for Horde) or Human (for Alliance).
Takes just a couple minutes to run Troll to Sen'Jin Village and get free flight to Orgrimmar. Easy to avoid any fights on your run.
Long as Human stays on roads no danger of getting attacked on way to Stormwind. Shorter to cut cross country but lot of mobs there.

If you want to start selling on the AH you can mail them some pet bandaids or anything else account bound to sell to a vendor (Timeless isle gear tokens work too) to get some money to start listing pets on their AH without having to do quests or kill stuff.

This is a great tip, as with a new toon without questing, you won't be able to post any pets to sell on the AH, as you'll not be able to pay the (very tiny) AH deposit. Selling BOA stuff is a great way to avoid having to quest.

I found the best way to get starting capital is to pick up some of the gear that is laying around at certain waypoints in Pandaria. It is account bound and vendors for 20-30G forget the name of it but you can fly to the waypoint and if it is there pick it up then mail it to your alt. Bandaids are good too but don't vendor for very much.
