So it's been established that after we get a particular pet from our garrison daily bags, the droprate of that pet drops significantly. What I'm wondering if anyone knows is how the mechanics determine the droprate? Does it just drop after you have learned that particular pet? Or is it after you've looted the pet in one of your bags? I'm curious because I haven't gotten a Bone Serpent from my bag yet and I was wondering if it was because I learned someone else's pet when I was powerleveling pets for him.

I have three 100's with the quest
The first 100 got a critter each day until all the critters were had and none since
The 2nd 100 got a critter every few days until all the critters were had and none since
My 3rd 100 gets a critter every few days, I dont think ive hit 3/3 with all the dailies yet
Lint lady has only given me one critter so far

We had established that about the menagerie daily, but is it the same for Kura/Erris? I was under the impression that their bag just has a generally "low" droprate of the 3 pets it can contain (3-4% according to Wowhead).

Of course, i'm not the most clued-up about these things, so apologies if I've got it wrong. It's more than likely, if there is "wisdom" about lint lady, that I just haven't heard it yet.

The pets from the Erris/Kura bags don't seem to follow the same drop rate pattern, though. [url=https://twitter.com/TheCrafticus/status/575713125002928128]LeCraft also mentions[/url] that it's possible to get duplicates from the new traveling trainer daily.

Since it's possible to get duplicates, I'd say that the drop rate is pretty RNG. Long periods of nothing but pocket lint, but then suddenly 3 Slithershock Elvers in a week for example. This actually happened to me; I already had a Slithershock in my journal but continued to receive another and then another.

Hmm. This may be "blue-confirmed" but it's also demonstrably false. Loads of us have had duplicates of some of the pets. My hunter alone has had 3 Sun Sproutlings.

Three in one week? So jealous! I've done Kura each day since 6.1 and have yet to receive any pet from her. I caved and bought them off AH.
On the other hand I now have enough pocket lint to craft my own unique pet.

According to LeCraft in that Twitter thread, there was a bug that allowed for duplicate drops (specifically for the Albino Chimaeraling, but I don't see why the bug wouldn't have applied to other pets too pre-6.1). The duplicate Menagerie pet bug has since been fixed.

If it's a bug, it has not been fixed. I got a duplicate Firewing just the other day on one of my hunters that has long since cleared the Menagerie collection.
