I was originally going to put this in the [url=http://www.warcraftpets.com/community/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10079]WoD beta thread[/url], but meh. It's interesting enough news that it deserves it own thread?

Another neat discovery:

So had the [pet]Viscous Horror[/pet] not fallen to duping (if that's what really, truly happened), it might pop up on the BMAH every now and then in the expansion.

Too little too late?

Nono, not too late, I still need that dratted thing and am unlikely to get it by WoD (quiet server and all) so I'm rather happy with that!

On the one hand, yes -- if I'm being cynical, then I see this as just a way to cover their butts on the duping issue (again). "All those extra VHs? Well they must have come from BMAH. No duping here!"

But on the other hand -- if they make it clear going forward that these ultrarare pets will eventually be made more available via legitimate sources, then we don't have to worry so much about obtaining them for ridiculous prices. Maybe they can't stop duping, but at least this will help prevent us from overpaying so badly for the rare pets, and then watching the value plummet. Instead we will know in advance that the value won't hold up, and we can make decisions accordingly.

My goal with WoD is to be better about waiting to buy pets... I don't know how long that goal will last, but hopefully I can stick with it. All the money I could have had!

Me too I hope I can resist knowing the market will crash after a while but the gotta catch them all fever is hard to resist
