How do you trade battle stones across servers?

Newb question I guess, but, how does this work? Can you use a stone on another player's pet? Is that how you "trade" them?

yes, you either make a char on their realm and give them your pet and they upgrade and trade back, or they make one on your realm, give you their pet, and you upgrade and trade back

To clarify, this only works on tradeable pets. You cannot select another player's pet in the game world and upgrade it. You must summon it from your own journal. So you may not upgrade, for instance, another player's minfernal. And in case you are wondering, in order to upgrade a pet, you must add it to your journal, summon it then select it in the game world, and use the stone.

Hrm quite a lot of trust involved there. Thanks for clearing this up for me guys, been thinking about trading stones but didn't know the specifics.

The BoE
Flawless Battle-Stone is even easier. All you have to do is create a character on their server, and they can trade it to you as normal. You just have to use it on that server, though. Shouldn't be a big deal.
