Wowhead shows the Arctic Fox Kit spawning in the ravine just north of Frosthold in The Storm Peaks (when it's snowing). Can anyone confirm this or provide more detail/information?

I was out in Twilight Highlands this morning by the twilight breach between 8:30 am and 9 Server and there were Twilight Feindlings and Twilight Spiders all around the rim. I didn't note any special conditions for them but if anyone was interested they were spotted at that time.

There are some spawning conditions other than just time and weather. For instance, I've found that some baby pets only spawn with nearby adults. These seems to be true with Cheetah Cubs, Infested Bear Cubs and Giraffe Calves so far in my experience. You have to keep killing the adults to get more babies to spawn.

Edit: Diemetradon Hatchlings too.

Both Rusty and Shimmershell snails have SOME spawn condition, but I'm not 100% sure if it's weather or time. Rusty I picked up after work, so about 8-9 AM Central and Shimmershell this afternoon, 3-4 PM Central. Raining both times.

For the Restless Shadeling, I got there exactly at 12am, both cellars were full of them.
I farmed them for about 10 mins before they seemed to stop re-spawning at 12:10am server time. I waited around another 20 mins, but nothing re-spawned. If you're finding them later in the day, they may have been left over from the spawning time.

(This may not be intirely accurate to other servers, this is just my experience on 2 occasions of farming)

Anyone know what months qualify for "summer"? Is it the same as with fisihing, the equinox in Sept?

If so, sounds like we'll have to wait til next summer before capturing any wild summer pets?

Stone Armadillo spawned at midnight server in Desolace in the dry river beds.

I found about 8 spawns around 7:30 am server. They were not there long: by the time I battled two, three other players showed up. The weather was clear. The twister ability they cast seems to bug out, but if you give it a minute it usually resolves itself.

  • Restless Shadeling - Deadwind Pass (Master's Cellar)
    • Spawns only late at night (starting around Midnight). Note: The cellar is underground and can be accessed from the ruins outside of karazhan.
Prior to Pet Battles, the shadeling DID spawn only at night, but it's about 6 AM (server time) and I'm seeing 3 spawns in the cellar. The weather is clear and sun is rising.
Yes that's true.. only between midnight and 9 am in the cellar near Karazhan.

I got a Diemetradon Hatchling yesterday afternoon....it was raining, but I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not. I did notice that it was the only one that spawned, and I stayed around for 30 minutes in hopes of getting one for my hubby, but no additional spawns in that time frame. Maybe a rare spawn?

The Diemetradon Hatchling has a chance to spawn with the elders. I found the best way to force them to spawn is to kill all of the elders. I read a post on wowhead where someone suggested putting a raid marker on the ones who successfully spawned a battle pet. Do not kill those, the hatchling will respawn from the same elder a few minutes after. Continue killing all of the elders that do not have a hatchling attached.

I got my arctic fox kit during snow in the "snow drift plains" (there were 6 or so when I was there). This is the area to the northwest closest to the argent tournament where there are a bunch of mobs fighting each other at the cliff that dumps into the ocean. It doesn't snow all that often, parked 4 alts from different CRZ's there and got it on the first snow I caught. It seems that most weather conditions last longer than an hour (I'm guessing this just from farming my rare silithid). So if you want to do what I did and park alts there, just check back every hour and you shouldn't miss any opportunities. :)

I was curious if the tiny twister worked the same way as the bog pet (where you just murder everything in sight and then they will slowly appear), so that's what I did with success.

Was NOT raining, I just hellfired and ran around killing every mob and critter in the area, then on the very next phase of spawning I got 1 tiny twister. Hope that helps everyone!

It follows the US seasons (I assume because that's where Blizz is located), earlier posts talk about it more.

Interesting - discovered the Seagull has a twister ability as well that is really buggy. Hopefully that will be resolved in a future update.

i can add more on the Restless Shadlings.

They spawn at 12am server time. The batch that spawns is all there will be. I was only able to pull an uncommon and maybe a common. We flew around the area for a couple hours between myself and other guildies. No more spawned.

For the Infected bear cub, it's not a time or weather condition.. it's if mommy is there :)

The reason people don't see them spawn is usually the infected bears are killed right after someone tames an infected bear cub. So, kill spiders to help the infected bears spawn, do NOT kill the infected bears. Once one has been up for awhile (no exact number on time) the cubs will spawn near them. Notice anytime you've seen one up, it's been closely tied to the infected bear... that's why :)

Just noticed someone said something along these lines a little earlier in the posts heh. So, what have we learned? If you're looking for the kids, don't kill the grown ups heh.

Same way with the Diametradon Hatchling. They'll respawn every couple of minutes as long as you don't kill the parent. After reading WoWHead comments, I followed their instructions and marked the ones that spawn hatchlings with a raid marker. Then you know which ones not to kill.

I'd like to add that there is a mass spawn between 21:02 and 21:04, not sure if that has been mentioned here.
