Re: An Awfully Big Adventure
Glad you tested whether and H/H starlette had enough damage to kill the two beasts in the same number of turns as the others. I figured more health was safer, but I didn't want to say H/H was best until I knew it wouldn't need an extra turn to kill everything. One thing to keep in your thoughts: Ev...

Re: Syd The Squid
There are actually a few different threads on ways to kill him in the Pet Battles forum. A mix of 3 pet and 2 pet options are discussed and there are quite a few options.

As of both Beta and the pre expansion patch, that functionality was removed from the ingame API.

Re: Cristoph von Feasel
After doing it a couple more times, I think you're right that the S/S Whelpling is better. I was only thinking in terms of being faster than Syd, which isn't necessary, but the S/S or H/S allows you to be faster than the direhorn, which as you point out, allows you to Early Advantage before it can ...

Re: An Awfully Big Adventure
I ran a few different permutations this morning. I don't have an H/S Bronze (just a P/P and S/S). Thoughts S/S Bronze Whelp: Takes longer on Syd, but gets the full Early Advantage Damage against the direhorn (500+) H/S Bronze Whelp: From Wolfson's description sounds like the ideal breed, but couldn'...

Re: Leveling advice for a noob
The 5.3 guide assumes you have a levelled Anubisath Idol and an Emerald Proto-Whelp. Using those, you can level other pets (like the ones you need for the 5.4 guide). Once you have all the pets levelled for the 5.4 guide, you can pick a Celestial Tournament Guide and level those pets. Basically star...

They do exist but will drop from certain bags or purchaseable via new pet charm currency. Some are family specific (+1 level to a flyer for example).PWOKristy wrote:Awww shoot. What about Flawless Battle Training Stone (adds 1 level to any Battle Pet)? It's from the Battle Pet Master. Thank you!

Re: An Awfully Big Adventure
Thanks Jerebear! I love your strats, very solid. You're @jere on Twitter, right?! I will try that tomorrow. I have both Bronze Whelplings but only P/P and H/P Starlette, and only my P/P is leveled. Yep, I typically go by jere, but it was taken here and a few other places. I stole the strat from the...

perhaps a thundering serpent hatchling or wild jade hatchling would be better since they have lightning storm in addition to Tail Sweep and Lift off.

Re: Cristoph von Feasel
It looks like the newest member of the Darkmoon Faire pet team is up with this month's faire, so what teams have you found success with against him to level a carry pet? After a little experimenting, I was able to get him with a team of, ironically, all post-6.0.2 pets. Bronze Whelpling (2,1,1) (mi...

Similarly, I have found the drop rate to be unchanged since 6.0. Still getting the same amount of stones as before (on average).

Re: Tail Sweep change on beta
Elementals are supposed to ignore only the negative effects of weathers; there was a change in 5.4 to make Elementals benefit from Sandstorm's damage reduction shield. That seems to have been rolled back in 6.0, and there's no indication that it was intended. I think its probably the way it was int...

Pattiford, you might consider adding one more frame for the Darkmoon Tophat. It stacks with all 3 of the other buffs. Only available during DMF, so up to you on that.

Another pretty good 2 pet strat for Christopher: Bronze Whelp + Iron Starlette http://www.warcraftpets.com/community/forum/viewtopic.php?p=94842#p94842 I used different breeds (P/P whelp and H/H starlette) but had no trouble. I think I actually had one less powerball on the 2nd enemy. I might go bac...

Re: the long grind
Ithank goodness for the pandaren spirits, they give some awesome EXP Just as a note of interest. The Pandaren Spirit tamers give the same amount of EXP as the other Pandaria tamers. Also as a side note: The "sweet spot" for gaining EXP on a low level (carry pet) vs the higher level tamers is level ...

That comment was more for poofah's images which did depict the (weak). That's why I specified sub 295/296 hits for the comment.Chibimage wrote: Also no Jere it wasn't critters - as that would say (weak) and be quite obvious. It was against anything, any type of pet.

Re: Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling - nerf!
I noticed in the screenshot that the 195 was due to a weak hit to a critter (still wrong on the split damage). Are you sure all of the sub 295/296 hits weren't against critters?

Hmmm...still not able to reproduce it here. Been trying for a while. Can yall map out your exact teams/abilities and how the fight goes? Is it pvp only, pve only, or both pvp and pve? I've been doing pve and all I have been doing is using decoy + thunderbolt, then breath till the first pet dies. pas...
