Alternatives to Pet Death
There's a thread on the Beta Pet Forums about changing the language of the battle system so that pets "surrender" or something, anything other than actually dying. Since it's on the Beta forums, I believe you can only post if you're actually in the beta. Here's the link: http://us.battle.net/wo...

It is? Rats, I was hoping it was something we could get by farming.

Racial Bonuses - Humanoid : Humanoid pets heal 5% of their maximum health every time they hit an enemy. This can proc multiple times in one turn, making multi-strike attacks advantageous for humanoid pets. - Mechanical : When a mechanical pet dies in combat, once per battle it will revive at 25% he...

Self Heals Here are heals that only affect the pet that uses them. - Siphon Life : An undead attack that does 10 damage per turn to the enemy for 4 turns and, while active, heals the caster for 10 health per turn, even if the caster has switched out . Since this ability targets the enemy, it will s...

On Pet Battle Healing
Since I don't like running back to the stable master all the time, and I definitely don't want my little darlings keeling over, I've been skimming through all the pets and their abilities looking to find good ways to keep my team healthy. I thought I would share some of what I've found. (This ended ...

Re: Beta Pet Battles Changes/Fixes
I laughed at "Sons of the Living Root". I'm glad they'll be moving pets out of tight spaces. It was frustrating when I found that the tunnel leading to BFD was absolutely crawling with crawlers, but I couldn't fight a single one of them. I hope they fix bats too! The little buggers have been tauntin...

Re: Collecting still... Collecting?
Since we'll be able to cage pets from our journal and sell them, then put them back in the journal by learning them on a different character, what I would suggest is collecting every pet you can get, but NOT learning pets you already have on a different character. That's what I'm doing; saving repea...

Re: CE Pet - Lucky Quilen Cub
I'm also confused why they're calling a lion a quilen, the name seems more like they're going for a qilin, a hooved animal Yeah, I'm a bit bothered by this, since I was really hoping for an actual qilin, or kirin, or ki-lin... there are a lot of variant spellings. Kirin are usually described as Chi...

Re: CE Pet - Lucky Quilen Cub
There's a forum topic on the Petopia forums that shows potentially tamable pet skins at http://forums.wow-petopia.com/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=17335. There are twelve in all: four flesh, four plain stone, four fancy stone. I imagine the lucky pet will be one of the flesh skins and the archy p...

There are different colors. Odds are fairly good it won't have the same colors as the image on the wiki page.

Re: Favourite pet and why
I also tend to use different pets for different characters, though sometimes I'll use something different for a bit of variety. On my main (a moonkin) it's the moonkin hatchling, since I roleplay her as my character's daughter (even though I'm not on a roleplaying server). I use the Darkmoon Cub and...

Re: MoP and Pets in the Bank
If you're putting them in a guild bank, they must not me BoP. I see no reason at all why the original items for, say, Siamese Cat or Personal World Destroyer would disappear. They still exist in the beta. I highly doubt BoP pets would disappear either, though account-bound ones might become single-u...

Re: Max number of pets?
It seems that there is a cap of 500 pets in the journal. This is more than enough to have one of every pet, with extra room to have duplicates of wild pets, since they come in varying qualities.

Thanks for typing this all out. I got a kick out of some of these, especially Mini Diablo.
Not so much a fan of trying to make cats and bunnies sound deadly.
Also, "When you have two rabbits, you'll often soon have three." Three? More like ten.

Some people think he's creepy. I think he's fricking adorable. I wasn't too impressed until I actually saw him in action. I absolutely love the little jabbering sounds he makes, and he has the cutest little dance. I really, really hope he'll turn enemies into chickens in the pet battles. :D I will a...

Re: Introductory Pet Battle Quests + How to Heal Pets
have you tried razor hill? that is their equivalent to our goldshire trainer. I've tried Razor Hill on my one toon that managed to train in pet battling (client was crashing like mad when it was trainable), but didn't find any pet-related quests there. Of course, pet battling isn't working for me a...

Re: even more new pets! Summit Kid/Tundra penguin.
Thank you for the info. I'm disheartened by the fact "healing" is such a big deal, though, makes it hard to pretend they aren't being hurt. I am bound and determined to not let this stop me. As far as I'm concerned, no matter what terminology is used, it's like Pokemon and the critters all just fai...
