Re: Call lightening
Yeah, I just did a massive post on the elemental family ability with lots of field testing, and Lightning Storm definitely still on-hits elementals. But, I think this may be intentional, as it functions as a buff to the opposing pet's attack, and though elementals don't take the negative effects the...

Re: Your favourite PVP teams
Right now I'm running Scourged Whelp 2/2/1 Clockwork Gnome 1/1/1 (the middle slot might be served better with 2, but he's usually my last pet standing and needs extra survivability) Zandarlari Kneebiter 2/2/2. The kneebiter got a bit of a nerf but I still find it fun to play. I used to run with a li...

Re: Just started battling
The good and bad thing about pet battles is that it's fairly open ended. I do think getting your Safari Hat is a good goal to set though. Read up on the boss giving you trouble (Okrut? Payne?) and then level the pet(s) you need in order to pass him. It gets tougher from Northrend on up, but don't ge...

Re: Third wheel for Bleed Team? Need suggestions
To my knowledge, you have both the bleed synergy abilities covered in your existing team, so a buffer for your bleeds might be a good move. Pretty much any time there's a DoT I like to pull out my Zandalari Raptor, or a Cogblade Raptor with Exposed Wounds, or if you're down on survivability, somethi...

Re: Murkalot bugged?
Just chiming in to say that this is confirmed as intentional. https://twitter.com/TheCrafticus/status/403621933121409024 I do hope we see an AOE block like that on tames in the future, though that's mostly for pvp so I'm running away before I get drawn into this one. {edit} posted prematurely! Hotfi...

Re: Complete Celestial Tournament Walkthru and Pet list
I'm gonna sidestep & blush, because I really don't want to steal homeboy's thunder. I'm just saying that, as a blogger, the more accessible the pets you choose in your strategies are, the more helpful it generally is (but thank you so much, eeee). I think a big part of the lack of 5.4 pet discussion...

I've had this happen a couple times, but just assumed it was some addon malfunctioning. I'll make sure to submit a ticket from here on out though.

Re: Complete Celestial Tournament Walkthru and Pet list
But there are multiple posts and threads focused on Celestial tournament and other strategies that incorporate the use of pets that are very accessible - so much so that it is actually difficult to find strategies that highlight the newer, rare, or hard-to-obtain pets. Frankly, it'd be nice to see ...

Re: just getting started need team suggestions
IME, nearly any team is playable, especially if you're not going to PVP. PVE tamers are less about battling per se, and more like using what you've learned to solve a puzzle. There's going to be a point where you have to deviate from your one team in order to win, eventually. For a DK-themed team, a...

Re: The Celestial Tourney...now what?
With the new breeding system coming it might turn out I'll need more of the celestial pets in the future Ugh, I didn't even think about this possibility. It seems like they're going to let you choose specifically which pet you want to nuke, but even so it's probably a good idea to stockpile. ugh ugh.

Re: Flawless Battle-stone, what to do :(
At this point I've been selling mine to get the 5.4 pets. I still have lots left to upgrade (those darn cats!) but the raid pets in particular are likely to get way more scarce as we move past 6.0, so I want to collect those now. I figure I'll have plenty of time to upgrade with the bound/family ones.

Re: Any choice in Celestial Tournament questions
The mega thread here ( http://www.warcraftpets.com/community/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6459 ) is a really good resource, with a lot of cross-discussion about what works for different people. One thing I'd suggest is taking note of where others' strategies don't work out as well for you, and whose do...

Re: Any choice in Celestial Tournament questions
And I don't use pythons or snails in any of my Tournament teams so not sure which boss or strategy you're looking at that requires them, which makes it harder to suggest a replacement. A common chi-chi strategy is 2-3x snails (take less dmg because critters, lots of mitigation). The one I cooked up...

Re: I have a tamer experience question
Oh, I know but the difference is that you can fight many more battles with wild pets in one small area where your questing rather when running or using the fly points to get to the trainers. Whereas those trainers are available for that quest once daily. It's just a matter of convenience. Yeah, tra...

Re: Everything known about pets in WoD
Thanks for the shoutout! It seems like Mr. Stockton is elaborating further to a bunch of varied sources on Twitter. It looks like their current plan is that you'll be able to choose a Primary and Secondary pet. Primary pet is retained as the, um, species? Secondary is the Breed. So if I combine my p...

Re: I have a tamer experience question
Liopleurodon - how does that compare to tamer battles? specifically, the thundering spirit tamer. Once I get access, I plan to have a friend fly an alt to the thundering spirit tamer, and fight him repeatedly to level up pets and an alt at the same time. Not sure. I ought to make somebody fly me up...

Re: I have a tamer experience question
The wild pet battles give higher EXP for your toon if you're wanting to level up that way (but, well, you can't get to the spirits until you have flying so it's kind of mute.) This isn't what I've found, in terms of player XP. Battle XP for characters is really strange... nearly every 3-pet fight a...

Re: very simple 2 pet combo for Tommy Newcomer
I've been using the Clockwork Gnome/Black Claw + Hunting Party classic combo. 3rd pet only gets 1300 XP with safari hat, and then only if it survives. Kinda lame for a stack of pug hats or one key and 20g.

Re: Tourney -- still worth doing after ...
Short answer, I'm going to keep doing it because I stream it every week, so people having trouble can follow along. If it weren't for that, it really depends on how the whole Garrison pet-breeding stuff works. If I can just go to the Garrison and squish all my greens into blues, I wouldn't do the To...

Re: Same Speed: Who goes first?
RNG. It's a random dice roll, and it can be streaky. But if you use your ability that hits more if you go first, you go second ( a joke, but it totally seems that way).
