Re: What an ass move!
How are they addressing it? Sort of like diminishing returns on turn timers: Round timers in PvP Pet Battles will now get progressively shorter for a player who takes more than 15 seconds to issue a command during their turn. I think it's a smart approach. There aren't many times in a battle where ...

Re: Direhorns, their second combo
I've used him with the shield and Stampede even before they announced the nerf. It's not a bad setup at all. That shield absorbs an insane amount of damage. Stampede type moves have limited use, and I wouldn't take them as a regular thing, primarily because multi-round moves are not my favorite for ...

Re: Lets talk Qiraji Guardling breed choices
Now that they increased the spawn rate and I could do it without feeling a jerk, I went back this morning and got a P/P. (Within about 3 minutes; there were a ton just hanging out. Have plenty of humanoid stones so quality didn't matter.) Will level her tonight and try a couplefew games with both wh...

Re: Fiendish Imp - S/S vs. P/S
I would not trade my S/S imp for all the direhorns in Azeroth. For the teams I use him on and the way I play him, there is just nothing more important than going first. That said, lots of people like their P/S as well; it's just a matter of how you play him and what your priorities are. I'd hold ont...

Re: Lets talk Qiraji Guardling breed choices
I picked up an S/S last night and leveled her right away (yay pet treats!) so I took her out for a spin this morning at 25, to see how she performed against a few of the tamers. I found her to be of very limited use. Maybe in PVP the fast stun would be useful but overall I found her moveset very awk...

I need two sets. PVP: Aquatic: P/P Emperor Crab Beast: Stunted Direhorn if I have to have one, but I don't use beasts much in PVP Critter: Fawn Dragon: P/P Nexus Whelpling or P/P Nether Faerie Elemental: Lil Rag Humanoid: S/S Fiendish Imp Flying: Crow or Raven Magic: Enchanted Broom Mechanical: Dark...

Re: Low pet xp for fabled pet win?
I suspect it's just following whatever their usual math is, given you've only killed one pet instead of three. I think it would be nice if they changed the formula for those fights though, and did something else to avoid repeat fights. I mainly do dailies just to level pets now, and BoF is awfully t...

Dailies.
Or, two feline familiars, music, a glass of wine, and all those racoons hanging out with Nitun.

Re: Victory and Frustrating teams
The new forfeit rules (match must go 1 minute for anyone to get a victory from a forfeit) The forfeit issue was fixed last week. You once again get a victory no matter when your opponent forfeits. During the bad week I gave those teams a minute before I forfeit, because I agree they should be able ...

Re: Deadly Pet Brawler
I don't get why so many people continue to run Rag with the conflag setup, he's so powerful when used the other way, although being so slow and squishy keeps him from being OP. What do you do when the opposing players Ragnaros submerges? What's the best use you can get out of those two rounds? My 2...

Re: Victory and Frustrating teams
TBH I forfeit the second I see a stall team, because boringboring. That said, Crawdads can be beaten. As has been mentioned, swapping him using a highest-health-pet swap works wonders, as does using a fast swapper who can get rid of him before he can cast wish (requires good prediction of when he'll...

Re: Deadly Pet Brawler
925/1000... almost there. Been using my Spider a lot more lately and I agree with much of what Poofah says. Even more than the relatively short cooldown on Death Grip, I think the thing that makes him so powerful is 100% accuracy across the board, including the swap. I still love and use my S/S Imp,...

Re: 100% Hit Chance Abilities
The tooltip for Noc Strike is a bit confusing. It will always hit if the target is blinded by an ability that just blinds the target, but does not debuff your accuracy, such as Flash. However, the accuracy debuff from Darkness still applies to you. So if the target is blinded by Darkness, the hit ch...

Re: Countering Kun Lai Runts
I don't find the KLR at all difficult to battle, since he's such a telegrapher. When he shows up I just put in a pet I don't want to fight him - usually an imp who can heal himself from the back row afterward - to take his setup move, then switch to an undead. Nothing pleases me more than seeing a t...

Re: Direhorn Runt
Am I the only whiner who gets annoyed when they announce these changes but they don't take effect for so long? Why not just change it now if they know that's what they want to do? I don't cry when I see a direhorn, but I'll welcome the change. Sometimes I use my Stunted with Shield and Stampede inst...

Re: Catching a glimpse of your opponent
I've actually seen their battle/companion pet (not a combat pet such as a hunter pet) phase in before they did, and the tooltip showed me "xx's companion." Happened with a guildmate and her Emerald Proto Whelp so we knew we were fighting each other. :) Edit: And I agree with Grifter about showing th...

Re: Question about backline damage
For PVE I use XT's Heartbroken + Tympanic Tantrum a lot. It's great for a lot of the tamers but especially useful for Payne, Obalis, and that monkey guy.

Re: P/P or S/S
I actually use both breeds of flayer on a regular basis - the p/p for tamer dailies/critter killing in PVE, and the s/s on PVP teams for kick/blitz which is very fun against any non-beast pet who's slower than you.
