Re: Since when does Yen have takedown?
Do you happen to know how they were changed? For example vonFeasel is pretty fun but he got figured out very quickly, so the current version is not very hard. I'm curious what they consider to be 'too hard', and how they arrive at the balance they want.

Re: Since when does Yen have takedown?
Since 6.0! haha. Yeah, without Comeback you don't have to worry about avoiding an Undead in the first slot against Yen's all-Humanoid team. Not just that, Takedown does weak dmg to beasts, and Mr Grubbs/maggot already made this a pretty easy 2-pet fight (and occasionally 1-pet). Did anything else g...

Re: Grommloc - thoughts
I am fine that he is t the best battler because if OP then it is t fair. But have some cool animation murkalot was always doing something and most pets do and I think pay for pets should have some cool thing they do. Mostly agree, except there should be plenty of room to give CE/Blizzcon pets inter...

Re: Which WoD pet are you most interested in collecting?
That's one way to go; Darkness might be helpful on its own too, since tanky/healy pets are troublesome for avoidance critters. Frostfur Rat could be a nifty partner in that case. Or, maybe just good old Crow, since beasts are your other big problem. But it...

Re: Synergic Team
Is there, at the moment, a team(s) with such incredibly good synergy/affinity/game dynamics as the one I used to play with? If you mean synergy, then maybe; but if you mean power level, then no. Feign Death was rather silly at 5 round cd, and many control abilities from back then have had their coo...

Re: Grommloc - thoughts
RI could stand a minor nerf. But in terms of flavor/design/innovation, Murk was a huge success, and is still almost certainly the gold standard for Blizzcon/CE-type pets. I'd much much rather have current Murk than a useless version. Gromm definitely went too far in the 'safe' direction. Mighty Char...

Re: Which WoD pet are you most interested in collecting?
I'd have to say the Frostwolf Ghost Pup because have you seen that little face?! XD They buffed Refuge compared to the beta version, so that it now puts a shield on 'the caster and each friendly critter' (rather than just 'each friendly critter'). Ghostpup + rabbit + X could potentially have a ridi...

You are assuming that there was ever an actual card. They won't provide the card, so there's no proof.Jadax wrote:The code came from a card... So, the pets from those codes are 100% "legit". There's no doubt about their provenance at all.
Literally the exact opposite of a duplicated pet.

Re: Grommloc - thoughts
He's pretty bad. I don't think they had a clear idea about what they wanted him to be. The original iteration was a fragile one-trick pony whose trick was potentially rather brutal (Dominance+Whirlwind, and then Giant's Blood+Whirlwind). Then they took his trick away and replaced it with Mighty Char...

Re: Tail Sweep change on beta
Do Early Advantage, Tail Sweep, heal, Tail Sweep. The Early Advantage double hit is slightly more than Tail Sweep and this should kill him in 4 turns, and then EA is off cooldown to smack the Tonk.

If you stay up late, there is always a window between DMF starting and daily quest reset, unless you are on a bona fide USA west coast server.Kel wrote:So how are you 0/2 so far? Didn't DMF just start today?
Also, there's over 100 of these on AHs across US now. This is not a rare pet.

Re: Syd The Squid
There were 26 across US AHs this morning at 9 (pst), now there's 52, so this is likely to trend like Sky-Bo -- I think it's unlikely to command 10k+ for more than a few days.

Re: Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling - bug?!
I noticed in the screenshot that the 195 was due to a weak hit to a critter (still wrong on the split damage). Are you sure all of the sub 295/296 hits weren't against critters? I also got incorrect 296 hits against a lone turtle, just didn't SS it. Should have mentioned that. The critter thing is ...

Re: Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling - nerf!
Cyclone is behaving normally as far as I can tell. It's hitting 1 in 3 pets roughly over a bunch of fights. With Raindance it hits a lot, as expected, but not 100% -- I've had it miss multiple times. But Thunderbolt is acting strangely. I've had it hit a lone pet for 296 or 197, which would be the r...

Re: Tail Sweep change on beta
Elementals are supposed to ignore only the negative effects of weathers; there was a change in 5.4 to make Elementals benefit from Sandstorm's damage reduction shield. That seems to have been rolled back in 6.0, and there's no indication that it was intended.

The sandstorm bug is still there, ie elementals currently do not benefit from the sandstorm shield.

The Tail Sweep change is live now. It works properly when same speed, ie it deals the low-end dmg. The Arcane Slash bug appears to also have been fixed.

Re: 6.0.2 First impressions
Now it's almost always 4 and 3 because I need most or all high hits to finish them off in the old number of turns without a miss. Yes, this should be typical. The new abilities tend more strongly to the average expected damage over 3+ turns, and the expected damage is less generous than the old abi...
