Re: My new Battle Pets blog
Quick question on the Scourged Whelpling.... I see you mention favoring the P/S breed while most of what I've read pushes towards the H/H as the difference in HP is large compared to the small power gain and speed being irrelevant. I was able to get a P/S that is uncommon and wasn't sure if I should...

Re: Most Underrated pets.
Good catch! A big selling point on rabbits is their ability to evade bigger hits so the lower HP isn't as much of a trade off as it is on pets that have to soak their way through it. Probably mostly comes down to personal preference.

Re: Most Underrated pets.
The rabbits are all identical (outside of darkmoon) so it comes down to breed. S/S has 1400 HP, 228 Power and 358 Speed. If you're looking to increase power while keeping speed over 300, H/B will get you there at 1546/241/306.

Fel Flame has the same model as the Flames of Azzinoth you fight during the Illidan encounter. I call him Azzhat.

Re: Raiding with Leashes
The drop rates are probably closer to 20-30%. When I was killing all 12 bosses every week I typically got 3-4 pets. It's still statistically low enough that when you only need one or two more it could take awhile.

Re: Horde only pets
Shore Crawler can only be learned from the trainer by Goblin characters. They can be caged, but you can only learn one per character. This mirrors the Gilnean Raven and Worgen characters.

Flayer Youngling will depend on how you want to use him. For chewing up critters, P/P is the way to go. If you want to utilize interrupt and reflect, people tend to prefer S/S. From what I've seen, a lot of people tend to keep one of each.

I have 4 toons at 80+ and have three in my journal as well. My guess would be that dragonwizard nailed it.

Re: Raiding with Leashes
This is normal. The drop rates are high, but low enough that you may go weeks with no drops with bad luck on RNG. After a couple months I was still missing the drop from Magmadar in MC but found one on the AH for 500g. That was gold well spent.

Re: Good pet-catching skills
You'll also want to be mindful of trying to catch pets with abilities that damage themselves along with you like the Wild Crimson Hatchling who will generally die before you cage them if you get them too low. In these cases, I like to use my snail since their shield keeps them safe if it takes a few...
