Re: Squirt (Garrison Menagerie)

Is this with buff food?

It's definitely with the hat, possible with the little food buff. Most of my pets have been over level 8 for a while, since I do the kara daily every day to get them to 8.

Re: 15th (US) /16th (EU) November -- An Ultimate Pets' Day

For those who need help beating Squirt - here's the best strat I have found: Enchanted Broom Weebomination Leveling pet (can be level 1, takes no damage) Turn 1 - Sweep Turn 2 - Swap to leveler Turn 3 - Swap to Weebom Turn 4 - Cleave. Continue cleaving until Weebom dies. Swap to Broom, batter until ...

Re: Getting all rare pets... /groan

I didn't even try the flying around thing. I just made sure to do all the menagerie dailies on my 6 level 100 characters every day. It gave me enough to get 3 stones a day - sometimes 4. Then I would do kara and winterspring (with lowbie alts just parked there) and occasionally luck out and get a st...

Re: Squirt (Garrison Menagerie)

A better strat: Enchanted Broom Weebomination Leveling pet (can be level 1, takes no damage) Turn 1 - Sweep Turn 2 - Swap to leveler Turn 3 - Swap to Weebom Turn 4 - Cleave. Continue cleaving until Weebom dies. Swap to Broom, batter until Puzzle is dead. 100% success rate. A single battle gets a pet...

Guild Herald/Page Question

Hey everyone! I am royally confused on the Guild Herald/Page pet stuff. I have the alliance ones on my main, Joyia. Good. But I ALSO want the Horde ones. I *believe* I need to have a Horde character, who is exalted with her guild, buy the two pets, and then - while I will NOT be able to summon and u...

Re: CONTEST: Pet Tips for Mini Tyrael!

Hippogryph Hatchling is a great TCG pet to acquire and level. (Also her sister pet, Cenarion Hatchling !) She can become the foundation of your team to help power level pets in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Just use their Reckless Strike ability to destroy the aquatic wild critters you encounter! (...

Re: Some links to my blog

Everybody says that, yet I have the *worst* luck with Nishi. I somehow always barely pull a win. Her pets will crit, mine will miss multiple times... I think she just hates me.

Some links to my blog

I have written up multiple pet battling blog posts, and I thought this might be the place to share them: http://www.emberdione.com/blog/?p=606 - A blog post I wrote on power leveling pets. http://www.emberdione.com/blog/?p=604 - Another blog about targets for upgrade stones. http://www.emberdione.co...

Re: Fluxfire Power

Use magic pets to counter the FFF, they can only take up to 40% of damage in one hit. OR use a pet with reflect and slap that 1800+ hit back in it's robotic little whiskers.

Re: Spectral Cub?

That's fair. I would like them to visually be marginally different. Like in the case of the hatchlings have one with purple feathers and one with blue feathers or something like that, but even that doesn't work on things like the Panda Cub (which oh man do I want one of.... but I didn't start playin...

Re: Best $25 spent on WoW!

Doesn't CRZ make this pointless?

Also, can't you just fight the wild pet with your team and capture since all pets are account wide?

Re: Worg pup doesn't change color any more?

Is it possible to find a brown one that will stay brown?

That's sad. I remember making an effort to get a white tiger for my hunter's pet so it would match her mount. I can just imagine a wolf mount, wolf pet, and wolf mini-pet all matching!

Re: Spectral Cub?

Oy and vey. Okay, so here's where I am, I came here to look it up, because I too wanted to know what was up with the Spectral Cub. It's listed, I was curious, and so I came to look. Now, a different thing came up in this thread, and that's the issue of "rarity" and "difficulty" o...

Re: Best Battle Pets

Hippogryph Hatchling, (or Vampiric Batling or Cenarian Hatchling) has a skill Reckless Strike.

He absolutely carries the rest of my team. He takes a bit more damage, but he can slaughter the competition in 2 hits usually. So op.

Re: A game that appeals to pet collectors

Just as an update, I did in fact work on the sequel, Skylanders Giants as well.

We have 8 new Skylanders and 8 Giants. There are also new figures with led lights inside that react to the portal. (Our mad scientist guy, Robert, does amazing things!)

It's doing amazingly well. :)

Re: Spirit of Competition 2012

There was a rumor that the corgi model seen in the grinch's cave this year could be a hint at the UK Olympics pet. I feel like a new pet would be better than a repeat that was clearly matched to the country. That being said I do hope that the extra SoC we have, we can sell, because I have a dear fri...

Re: Trying to understand

Yes the market would glut for the first few months or so. Also they could ease the glut by requiring the pet be x level to cage and sell. (So for example, you have to level them up to 10 to be able to cage and sell them, then only people who cared would level and sell, and you could chose not to lev...

Re: Trying to understand

I know that's how it works now, but I really think if Blizz does it this way it's a bad way to do it. From a purely game design standpoint they really should reward people like us who have massive collections on tons of toons to be able to sell the "fruits of our obsessions" as it were. Fo...
