Against mechanical then I personally prefer Searing Scorchling for Immolate (dot it) or use Scorched Earth (if they got much HP) which triggers a double Conflagrate when used.
Ragnaros is nice aswell, Sons of Flame can do tons of damage (1200+) while you take no damage at all.

I've been on PTR and soloed all (except Viscidus) vanilla-bosses that drop new pets. No clue if I was lucky or had bad luck. But 2 pets dropped, making me believe that the pets got a 10-20% droprate? Corefire Imp and Harbringer of Flame was the ones. 2 dropped, could be luck. But I doubt they add 1%...

Flayer Younglings have a skill called "Reflection".
It makes you miss, and use the skill instead...but for real in-game...it makes you immortal!
