I noticed that too after a while and it seemed to hold true in my experience so far. If the wild pet has as good or better stats than my pets at that level it's almost certainly at least uncommon.

How often do uncommon and rare wild pets show up? I'm guessing you also can't tell until after you catch it?

EDIT: It took me about 3 hours to get a rare gazelle. I caged 10 uncommons and threw away 2-3 before I started doing that.

Anyone have higher level pets yet? Seems like the gains from leveling is basically nothing right now.

Edit: Got Nuts to level 6 and his new ability is very strong and I can finally battle level 6-8 creatures. The starter one only seems to scale about 1 dmg per level and feels useless now.

In the patch that went live tonight there is a new option when you right click a pet in the pet journal to "Put In Cage". It removes the pet from your journal and gives you a tradable item with some flavor text of the pet name and stats. Right now it looks as though no matter what pet you ...

I started collecting when the game first launched. Since there weren't many mounts and good gear that looked decent was almost non existant it was probably just the easiest thing. I used to have the entire normal bank plus at least one bottomless bag filled with pets.

Run about 12-15 heroics and only 1 artifact has dropped so far.

There are a bunch up on the AH of every one for around 1000g though.

Picking a favorite is so hard! Murky is definitely my most used pet but I don't think I would want to declare him as my favorite. Nuts and Singing Sunflower also come out a lot. In raids I just random a pet most of the time.

I don't remember exactly which but one of the cats from Elwynn. I was jealous of everyone with their collectors edition pets and wanted one too. I have no idea how that lead to my entire bank being filled with pets.

This is really disappointing. It makes the event a lot more stressful now.

It really sounds like the artifacts wont be that easy to obtain, especially when the faire first comes out.
