Re: (US) The Official DO NOT TRADE List

It's the sheer rarity of the pets. People see those pets and heads turn, whether or not they're striking in appearance. Having them in your collection is like a "status symbol" of sorts in the pet collecting community.

Re: Share you accomplishments!!!

To date my greatest pet collecting achievement has been upgrading every single pet (except the ones that cant fight) to rare, as well as successfully farming up a crimson whelpling (took well over 5k kills to get the thing) before pandaria came out.

Re: When is rarity determined ?

You'll get it eventually; every collector has had at least one pet that was tough to get a rare version of. Mine was the tiny twister...

Re: Savage Safari Hat

I just saw the image of the baby hippo- not sure what to feel about it yet... Also noticed a fire elemental- dunno if that's an NPC or a pet model though.

Re: Gray vs Yellow

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe the coloring has something to do with whether or not the stat is good for that level. If something has a poor stat, it's gray. otherwise, it's yellow (i think....) If this is the case, there's not much you can do about it unless its on a wild pet, then ...

Re: Leveling stones? ...really?

I thought of something a few days ago- if they do implement leveling stones, maybe they'll be like rare candies in pokemon. One level per stone, that's it. I can live with that, especially if you only get them from daily bags in Draenor.

Re: Leveling stones? ...really?

I hope they don't add leveling stones... Leveling 500+ pets to 25 is no different than trying to get all of your pokemon to level 100(and there's over 600 of those now). If they do add leveling stones, there'd better be a drawback such as lowering the quality of the pet, or the stones would have to ...

Re: April Fool's Breeds

I was well aware of the date when I read this, but some of these look really good. I liked the Huijin Hatchling, Rainbow Ombre, Steel Panther, and Dinocroc the best (Dino Croc reminded me of Yoshi a little). Who knows, we might actually get these as legit pets once day from rare drops and whatnot (A...

Re: UV Search: to camp or to round?

I just circled the spawn points in a given zone, and always logged out near one. It's too time-consuming to try and hunt all the spawn points across all the zones, and you might end up missing it if you do. The zone i chose was Howling Fjord, and I found her at the southernmost spawn point.

Re: Favorite pet

My favorites are a tie between Baby Blizzard Bear and Spirit of Competition because they were the first promotional pets I got back in BC, when I started playing. They were also the only pets of my collection until the pet tab came out in Wrath for the longest time. A close runner-up is Crimson Whel...

NPC battle pet skins

So I just had a random thought: since there are plenty of tamers that have unique pet skins (like the abyssal in felwood), why not make those pets a rare drop (ashes of a'lar rare) from that particular tamer via a new bag as a reward? Obviously pets that are based off of CE or promotions would be ex...

Re: So what are your pet dreams made of ?

Every pet on my wanted list (which is three RAF, all TCGs rarer than the Hippogryph and Bananas, plus a viscious horror), for realistic. For unrealistic, all pets on my excluded list which include CEs pre-cataclysm, fettish shaman, tyrael, the remaining regional exclusive pets that weren't made RAF,...

Re: olympics soon

Somewhere along the line I deleted mine when I ran out of BANK room and I when I was cleaning house months after I got it and I haven't got over that yet :( I deleted my Baby Blizzard Bear once, and all I had to do was submit a ticket explaining what happened. If you have the achievement for obtain...

Re: New Pets Toys

I like the idea of different costumes too! I barely use my perky pug, but having costumes for other species would give me a reason to buy them. Many families have multiples of a species, so it wouldn't be too difficult.

Re: Pet Safari Changesd

I like the seasonal pets being part of the achievment. It gives you something to look forward to, rather than just going around aimlessly capturing pets. We all had to wait until June for the Qiraji Guardling, when the expansion released late september. We even had to wait until december 21st for th...

Re: pets you want to see in wow

A SHRUBBERY!!! Oh wait, wrong thing ;) A BRONZE WHELPLING!!! I mean, we got all the other colours, and I believe it was hinted that WoD might see these... Totally agree on the bronze whelpling! I've been saying this for ages, seeing as we already have all of the colors and even multiples in the cas...

Re: 300 level 25's and 3000 points

Gratz! I'm in the 300+ club on lvl 25s as well (369 to be exact) but my pet score is only at 2953. I still need the alterac brew pup, expecting the digital deluxe diablo for my b-day, and I'll certainly be getting the digital deluxe for the warlords expansion. So hopefully by the time WoD comes out,...

Re: Closing thoughts on the Celestial Tournament.

If you had solid teams, the CT wasn't too awful. There were a few tamers that always gave me trouble (Wrathion was one, Xu-Fu was the other and I swear they upped Zao's power because he nearly one shotted my zandalari hatchling) but overall if you had a strategy it wasn't so bad. Most of the tournam...

Re: Rarest pet

I have every idea the stats are for the rarest wild captured pet... fishing is technically capture because it wasn't a random boss drop or vendor purchased. If that's the case, it would surely be Minfernal for the rarest wild captured pet. There are still some who don't have it. If it does include ...
