Re: Haunt nerf upcomming, rejoice!

Jerebear wrote:Yes, but they added a 4 round cooldown that doesn't start ticking until after the haunt is finished. The "next" corpse to consume will take a while longer to get to than it used to.

IT'S MINE! ALL MINE!

I FINALLY GOT MY STUNTED DIREHORN! OMG! I'm going to hug him and pet him and call him George. That was hard for me. XD I spent HOURS getting slaughtered for those last two wins. I must've lost like 50 times in a row. Bleh! I had to share since ya'll's helped me so much. I know, i know. I...

Re: yay! Thundering spirit finally down

I remember the days when Sluggy used to be a critter. /sniffles Thems were the days. I use a rabbit and son of animus to take it down.

Re: Haunt nerf upcomming, rejoice!

In a way, they have indirectly. While you still can do it, you can't do it nearly as often due to the new CD on Haunt (which was the only ability I am aware of that had that issue with consume corpse?). It won't, unless the haunt misses and survives. Consume corpse has a five round CD and haunt las...

Re: Haunt nerf upcomming, rejoice!

Silly me I forgot that haunt went first and avoided damage even when it's slower. Yes, it is slower but it has no CD. When you feign death you take that pet out of play altogether. You need to waste a turn or have another pet die to get it in and it has a long CD. Haunt, on the other hand, has no C...

Re: Pet Level Rate/Speed

Meh. I kind of wish I wasn't so efficient now that they're all level 25. I did the two treats plus the hat. I leveled them from 1 to 23 or 24 from the trainers then had a lower level alt finish them in Panda-land somewhere. This alt was always a really, really lowbie so the leveling up took some tim...

Re: best breeds?

where do I look to find out which breed is the best for each pet? Completely dependent on what you want to use each pet for. If it's a pet I probably won't use in pve or pvp battles then I don't care. If I ever decide to use it for pve or pvp battles then I'll just go back (or buy, whatever the cas...

two adders and a crow

I keep coming up against this team and it's kicking my butt. Can anyone help with a decent team that'll do good against it? I hate the pet names too. They're derogatory to women and being a woman, I wanna kick his ass. T^T Is there any way to report pet names by now? /sigh Thanks ya'll's! Just...

Re: Moonfang

At the very end of a wild pet battle, the word "Moonfang" came up(in orange letters) in the middle of my screen, just after the notification that my pet had leveled up. The word "Moonfang" also came up in my chat (in yellow letters). The pet that had leveled and was also the las...

Re: Fleeing in PvP pet battles

I used to flee a lot. Whenever I felt like I was losing, tbh. But I've stopped that and found I win a lot more battles now. Now I flee when it's a lost cause. I mean, like when I'm down to one pet with only a tiny bit of HP and the other side has two pets up. Things like that.

Re: Blizzcon 2014

What do you think the pet would be this year? It'll be a murloc type pet of sometime, probably tied to WoD. They always follow the theme of what is coming out. Thus Deathy was given out at blizzcon when Cata was release. Murkablo was another when Diablo came out. Murkalot was in celebration of one ...

Re: What now?

Thank you! Yeah I read up on it and I don't think I could go in it as is, gonna take a look over these guides and prep. You get three rotating trainers each week to beat and the four celestial pets after that. The four celestial pets never rotated and they only have one pet in each. The trainers ha...

Re: Spectral Kitten

Not a very useful pvp pet imho. You are just telegraphing yourself and inviting a dodge or burrow, due to the time it takes to set up the combo. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I couldn't think of a way to actually use it effectively so I thought I'd try ya'll's but this is pretty much what I tho...

This is a really good method of dealing with combos that build on each other. Soak it up on one and let another take the lesser blow.

Re: Good all-around Beast pet?

A stun or dodge will completely nullify Prowl and resilience is not a factor since Prowl has a 5 turn cooldown(except maybe on food coma). Of course other 1 turn evade moves are not as useful. Hm. I remember the other getting stunned after having cast prowl and I had that prowl. But I'm probably wr...

Re: Good all-around Beast pet?

Xu-Fu can be a real pain. But the problem with any Prowl pet is that the move is telegraphed in advance and if your opponent has any kind of avoid/stun you just wasted a lot of turns. That said I truly love to stun a prowling Xu-Fu. But without avoid/stun Xu-Fu is a tough customer. But that's the b...

Hard question! I don't think there's just one. My favorites are Zand toenibbler, Xu-fu, Spiders, foxes, veng por, direhorns.

Spectral Kitten

Does anyone know the best way to make Spectral Strike effective in PVP battles? It'll hit for about 1.7k with darkness up and prowl but prowl makes it slower and that takes two turns just to switch out the pet and then prowl (five if you include the darkness and strike.) So there's a lot of time to ...
