Thing with mage is I can't take many hits, and those hit even harder than usual. Add to the fact that most of the brawler mobs can't be snared or rooted makes for a bad combo for me, sadly.

I did see a mage use the Ice Block skill successfully. She would turn into the ice and it wouldn't do her any harm. I assume she used it when blink was not available.
