My Mom got the blue giraffe her first time farming for it. I only have the uncommon one. I don't know if I will waste my beast stone on it or not.

I usually do the "Pet Raids" on multiple toons. Since I have 4 toons that can run them that gives me 4 times the chance to do it. I also have a guildie who runs them with me weekly. We got every pet except the Fungal Abomination One day...

I think the pet pricing depends on your realm. I have seen level 25 pets go for 3x the amount of a level 1. But, these pets are the more popular pets that are not easy to obtain ie: Disgusting Oozeling, Lumpy etc. I don't know if that will help you or not.

I have farmed this little guy and it is probably the hardest pet for myself to get. However, a recent guildie of mine did the Flightpath trick and was able to catch him. I can only hope that I will be able to do the same but if I could buy a Minfernal, I would probably pay at least 25k
