I have found in just about every case of a rare that Blizzards 'fix' was to simply make the mass spawn 4 hours after a reset, most of the new 5.1 pets dont spawn for 4 hours after any restart/reset and tbh ive seen most of the old rares do same thing, once this mass spawn is gone they seem to spawn ...

Ive found another way, join a bg then quit. or get a friend to get you in combat /pvp combat

the pvp bg join/quit is good if your desperate XD

Yeh, a big thumbs up to <stage clear>, they recently let me join on a low lv toon for the pet, got it around lv 25 in approx 4 hours of straight questing (it only takes revered and i think 270-300g) use tabard as soon as you get the gold, sell off a pet or 2 to raise the funds if new to the server.

apparently pvp combat still cancels battle the old way with the pet repoping

for me the continent quests will re-pop as soon as i finish them, although the travelling required usually discourages anyone doing them more than a few times a day, just takes too much time XD, they just seem to be on an endless loop.

had the same issue, im on about my 3rd round of these quests, as soon as you complete they pop again, a good way of farming bags of your bored and need to lv some pets

From doing dalies for these spirits the last few days since their available i'd say it was about a 20-25% drop, I'm averaging about 1 spirit a day of a random type.
