Re: [US] WTT LV25 Rare Raven B/B

I'd be willing to go for either of the pets (whichever is less of a loss to you) -- Just to make sure about the stone, though, the only way to work with the bound stones is for me to take a caged pet of yours, use the stone on the pet, and pass it back, right? It's not as easy as just using the sto...

Re: Congrats Quintessence!

I'm pretty sure it's a deliberate reference since they seemed to have added a few NPCs named after battle pet bloggers in beta. What I find funny is I had assumed they'd contact the players they reference to ask for thoughts/feedback, but I've asked another player who had an item named after him, an...

Re: Pet idle animations - interactions

There's quite a few idles so I know I can't possibly name them all. Here's a couple more noticeable ones: - Nuts hurls nuts at players, causing them to do the dazed animation - Elwynn Lamb gets chased and killed by a forest wolf - Egbert and Mulgore Hatchling run around like they're on crack - Plump...

Re: Want some opinions on which critters to go for/level up.

Fast rabbits are good, as noted above, just because they can evade a lot due to the dodge and burrow.

One I like that hasn't been mentioned above are bandicoons. Powerball plus Tongue Lash is really effective against undead.

Re: Down To The Serious Ones

Before I collected battle pets (I originally refused to do pet battles at all) I collected reputations, so rep grind is pretty easy for me. I have around 70 exalted reps right now. I'd recommend setting a daily or weekly goal for whatever rep you're working on (i.e. 1k rep a day) and simply chipping...

What's in a name? A guide to naming your battle pets.

I bet that many battle pet collectors would consider catching all available wild pets, or stoning all pets to rare, or leveling an entire collection, to be the greatest challenges in the arena of pet battling. But I think there’s a hidden challenge that many people forget about, one that comes with ...

Re: Is there a new TCG pet exploit for gold farmers?

A few threads already exist about this latest round of suspicious activity.

Re: Pet Leveling Is So Daunting

I did a two pronged approach. Once I had a few 25s to carry me through the dailies, I'd use those to level mostly wild, higher level pets to strengthen my overall stable quickly. I also bought some cheaper tradeable pets that were max level or close to it to bolster my stable even more. At the same ...

Re: Howl Bomb Variations

The Water Spirit is the only one with the Geyser/Whirlpool combo, so that is the one pet you must have for this set up. Using a Skull (so UA w/o Doom) works exactly the same, you just use UA right at the start and of course you'll miss out on the damage from Doom. It still works fine without it. I u...

Re: Are you a ... stealer?!?!1?!?one?!?!

250 WINS?!?!?!? Holy hell man! Like I said, I got 3, and was damn happy to have those! Now I feel like I suck! :( You'll get there... it's much harder at first when you're not really sure what you're doing (and worse, have no clue how to read what your opponent is doing, since unlike the computer, ...

Re: Are you a ... stealer?!?!1?!?one?!?!

Yup. I freely admit I used someone's darkness team set up to get me started with pet PVP. I'm not good with strategy so I'm always looking at ideas others put forth, then modifying them as needed to suit my play style. By the time I hit my goal of 250 wins I was still running a darkness team, but I'...

Re: Howl Bomb Variations

It can rez after UA. Your Unborn just has to die before it gets off the UA. Actually, you can rez after UA under certain conditions. Yes, you're both correct. I made a mess of my own post. What I meant (and hopefully I worded it all right this time) was that by using UA as the opening move f...

Re: Howl Bomb Variations

Maybe I'm confused, but when I use this sort of strategy I open with Unholy Ascension and not Haunt, so that's why I suggested Ghostly Skull. So: Unholy Ascension, swap, Geyser, Whirlpool, swap, Howl, Surge of Power if needed. Edited to confirm that you don't rez after UA. But this strategy does sti...

Re: Howl Bomb Variations

Instead of Unborn Val'kyr I use Ghostly Skull. And howl can be cast by foxes too, though I generally use Chrominius for that part.

Pandaren Water Spirit is the only pet in that set up that I haven't found a replacement for.

Re: Another new pet reveal - Molten Corgi

Surely, following the trend, Raiding with Leashes III will see us going to WotLK raids not Cata ones? I'm going with the Blizz store suggestion. Something about it just seems store-ish to me. ;) Well technically they sent us to LK Naxx for RWL1... I wouldn't be opposed to a RWL version for each set...

Re: Battle stone suggestions?

This list should help you: http://www.warcraftpets.com/community/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2978 . As you'll notice, beast, flying and critter have the most uncommon quality pets so you'll most likely benefit most from using your BoE stone on one of those types of pets. From those three families ...

Re: Well that didn't take long...

But this also means gold farmers become more and more prevalent... I'm sick of reporting them (which does nothing) Sadly I feel the same. Even though the blue poster asked for players to report sellers of suspect items, it does no good. I've done that in the past (during the flood of Crimson Deathc...

Raiding with Leashes III! I don't see why not. :D

Yeah that's my guess too. Actually I'm thinking it might be the next charity pet, in which case... *throws money at monitor*

Re: ethereal soul trader scan?

Oh, well yes, I suppose it's obvious to most folks who frequent these forums. But not all people know about all the ways they can go about filling out their collections, so just putting some ideas out there. :)

Re: Well that didn't take long...

The rule with pet "investments" now is trade 'em fast. I pretty much look for a 24 hr turnaround on any pets I want to resell/trade since I don't know what will change by the next day. The Vengeful Porcupettes were a good example of how quickly the market could sour in a short period of ti...
