People on the Petopia forums are saying that the issue with anyone being able to loot the pet is still happening. I really hope they fix that as it is really unfair.

I thought that maybe the ghost cat and mouse in Karin'var Village could be interacted with if we were in spirit form so I killed myself to test it. No luck, but it was worth a try!

I just found him too. I think you have to have the required rep to get him to talk to you, but I am pretty stoked about the koi fish pets he has around him.

I used to use the critter bites thing on him as soon as we zoned in. That way he would be my pet for a short time and then just de-spawn. It seemed better then him being killed.

I think mine was either the silver tabby which I bought to match my hunter pet or I might have bought an owl when I was still in the Night Elf starter zones.
