quite frankly it is down to the person whether they chand i know of people who have done similar trades and even traded a tuskarr for a dragon kite.

problem is the these pets are attached with the game key and is attached to the battle net account, so in order for them to play they have to use the code...and then the pet is used with the account it not separate key sorry
