Apparently the hardest pets to get at the moment are: Scorched whelpling (seems abundant after daily resets), Arctic fox kit (requires snow weather), Silithid Hatchling (requires sandstorm weather), Minfernal (none ever spawn or extreme respawn timer), Twilight Fiendling (extreme respawn timer), Giraffe Calf (long respawn timer), Snowy Owl (requires winter), and Qiraji Guardling (requires summer).

Some ask how did i get all the gold for it; not realizing i got them over the course of my entire WoW career lifetime.
Some days i get bored and farm a pet that i already have just to send to a friend i know.
Nothing like a random pet, that you do not have yet, to cheer up your day. =)
