The Runt has some really strong abilities that can hit hard at just the right times, the Sporeling has a nice heal/dam ability, & the Figurine can do some nice damage as well as debuff, & an ability to copy the enemies attack.

The Arctic Foxling has some really nice abilities too. Also, the Emerald Proto Whelp is a nice healer. I'll heal with him first to increase health of whole team, then go to my Clefthoof Runt for heavy damage, then go back to heals when needed, etc.
