So this is an old WotLK char I made (and later Race Changed to Worgen), so I have 5th and 6th anniversary pets, but I didn't collect anything back then. I got to 80 and took a long break from WoW.
Flash forward to Cataclysm, specifically 3 weeks after the release of this expansion: I return to empty guilds and no more friends. So the guild search was on, and before finding my current awesome guild, I met a few people who began the creation of the beast & pet collector that I am today.
Ravenously, I jumped from less than 10 pets up to now over 100, but the hunger will not fade. I strive to, for the most part: catch up, keep up, and surpass those I see as (friendly) Rival collectors. (Though let it be known I am not so consumed in this sport that I don't toss a few their way, after I get them first of course :P)
