I finally got all of the new raptors.  I ended up buying all but one because those mean level 91 elites combined with frequent horde interference made it too hard.  I feel like I took the easy way out, oh well moving on...

So far I've logged about an hour of fishing everyday at each of the daily fishing hotspots and I have yet to see any of the new carp pets.  I'm fully committed to it for the LONG haul!

Update 10-Mar-13:

Today I got the four Isle of Thunder pets as rares.  Not really sure what the taming changes are supposed to accomplish.  I still hunt only rares and just end up killing the ones that aren't to force a rare spawn.  I just use more pet bandages now.

Collecting pets is one of my favorite aspects of the game.  After discovering the crazy cat lady in Elwynn Forest, I have been hooked ever since.   Cats are my favorite pet and I have renamed three after my kitties.  This is the only pet renaming I plan to do.

I also remember questing in Searing Gorge and wishing the whole time I could have a fire beetle pet.  Now that I have one, I keep wondering why I can't have a dragonfly pet that I see flying all around the lakes in Pandaria.  I just won't be happy until I have them all (insert evil laugh here).
