@ Wosret I've been wondering about the Hyacinth Macaw drop rate, ever since they changed it to a purple item--it seems like they actually made it less rare at the same time. I know a lot of people don't have much else left to farm, so it's being farmed a lot, but still the rate that people are adding it to their collections now seems faster. I've been wondering if my Hordies should try farming it. (Lysi luckily nabbed it for 500 gold on the goblin AH in the middle of the night, before pet collecting got so big. I'm tired of pets getting stuck on the dock. The night elf style piers--my pets will never walk off them, particularly when going from pier to building, but I've seen it in other situations, too. There are other situations where pets get stuck, like the area where Groundskeeper Wyllithen stands, and other stone floor outdoor areas like it, in Eversong Woods. Is this an issue they're working on? Or am I the only one who cares?
Recently spent gold on pets for my non-collectors. I'd picked up a Mechanopeep for Lysi, my Alliance collector, right before I went on vacation last month--then forgot and bought another one when I came back. I couldn't get the price I wanted reselling it. So I gave it to my baby mage; she's a gnome engineer and she really wanted one. That made it harder to resist the request of my tauren hunter. She has a white strider, and wanted the Mulgore Hatchling as a little companion for her pet. I don't usually spend so much on pets for my non-collectors, but my collectors are happy with their new Obsidian Hatchlings, so no hard feelings. :O)
A while ago I saw Hippogryph Hatchling for less than usual on eBay, and couldn't resist! I wasn't sure I'd like the hippogryph from the picture--looks a little awkward, the colors aren't favorites. But she's adorable in the game, with baby proportions and a cute flying animation.
Why can't we have this kitty?! Being a rogue I visited Ravenholdt. Out of curiosity, I took a peek in the basement, and found an adorable kitty with a unique skin! Her name is Salome. I'd so love to have a cat like this one. Surely she's had a litter or two...
I love Altoholic. I nabbed a highly rated bag add on--but it doesn't just track inventory, it does everything! Does an alt need that weapon? Who doesn't have a white kitten? Who can use red wolf meat to level cooking? Professions, talents, achievements, small pets, mounts, quest log, percentage rest, recipes, average item level, bag space--virtually everything about each of your toons. Search your inventory, including the guild vault. Trying it out, my jaw dropped like I'd just gotten the black tabby! I have 14 toons and play them all, it's a godsend.
I have a Horde collector, too, Doppelganger.
