About Brakkis:
My original reason behind pet collecting was simply something to do to satisfy my OCD. I tend to feel like I have to get everything, and complete all objectives. It still seems to be a driving factor behind my collections, especially with patch 3.0. Prior to that, I only collected the ones that dropped, or were quest rewards. If it was a reputation pet, I got the rep and that was it. If it was a vendor pet, I ignored it. I only had so much room in the bank after all. The moment I heard about the change to pets and mounts, I went crazy, buying every single one I could, grinding rep, leveling fishing, etc. I've got a sizable collection now, and plan to keep it going.
I'm still farming for one original rare BoE pet:

Waiting on Midsummer Fire Festival next year:

Waiting on Children's Week next year:
* Whiskers the Rat
* Curious Oracle Hatchling
The Crab:
* Strand Crawler
After all those, I'm pretty much set on my pets. I know when I have a better job, and more money, I'll go hunting for the Collector's Editions and the TCG pets.
